  • Peaceful, off-grid pop-up site on a working family farm in Norfolk
  • Sandringham Estate 25 minutes’ drive; Old Hunstanton Beach 40 minutes
  • Farm shop selling fresh eggs, barbecue goodies and homemade snacks
Up for a laidback camping break on a family-run Norfolk farm? The small pop-up site at Little Abbey Farm is 10 minutes’ drive from the main A47 and five minutes from the historic village of Pentney; it has a wonderfully rural setting with Jersey cows grazing in the surrounding fields. The owners encourage guests to look round the farm, where you’ll also spot free-range chickens, pigs and a few pet sheep. Here you’ll wake up to birdsong and go to sleep under clear starry skies on clear nights. In between those times, you can follow peaceful trails around the property (handy for exercising any dogs you've brought), explore Sandringham Estate (15 minutes) or head to the beach at Hunstanton (40 minutes). The on-site farm shop sells home-produced meats and barbecue goodies (you’ll need to bring your own gear with you), eggs, homemade cakes for afternoon snacks and pies for you to enjoy in the evening – outside on picnic tables if the weather allows. And if you can’t be bothered to cook in the morning, breakfasts are served in the site’s dining room. Please note that there are no showers, hot water or electricity on this site; however, there are portable loos and chemical-disposal facilities.

What customers say

Guests consistently highlight the tranquil, peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful natural surroundings, with ample space for pitching tents. The farmers and hosts are frequently described as friendly, welcoming, and helpful, with many enjoying interactions with the farm animals. While the remote location offers serenity and opportunities for long walks, some visitors noted the inconvenience of being far from shops and eateries. The desire for nearby amenities was the only recurring point of constructive feedback.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked I loved how quiet the area was and how calming everything was, the farmers were so friendly and welcoming and we had an excellent stay. We went on lots of lovely long walks as there was so much nature to explore and enjoy.

Disliked We were in the middle of nowhere and had to walk quite far just to get something to eat, there also wasn't any shops nearby that would of been handy to buy a meal from.
