Stay was cancelled on the day it was due to start(!)
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Nothing, as the campsite cancelled the stay on the day it was due to start.
Disliked Our stay was cancelled at very short notice on the day we were supposed to arrive. About an hour before we were due to set off to the campsite I was contacted by Pitchup to say the campsite would not honour any bookings and had cut all contact with them. Obviously this is not the fault of Pitchup, and the person who rang was very apologetic, but I don’t understand how this happened. If the campsite had been flooded, or there was some other unforeseen reason then it would have been understandable, but we were simply told the booking wouldn’t be honoured by the campsite. I can only assume a breakdown in the relationship between the campsite and Pitchup. Fortunately we had not yet set off, but there must have been others due to stay over the bank holiday weekend who would have been on their way, or even arrived, only to find the campsite closed. We then had to make alternative plans at very short notice, as did our friends who were due to meet us there that day.

It was a lovely trip, would have been better if it was closer to shops
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked I loved how quiet the area was and how calming everything was, the farmers were so friendly and welcoming and we had an excellent stay. We went on lots of lovely long walks as there was so much nature to explore and enjoy.
Disliked We were in the middle of nowhere and had to walk quite far just to get something to eat, there also wasn't any shops nearby that would of been handy to buy a meal from.

Liked Friendly. Nice to see the cows and chickens. Lots of space to pitch up. Also let us use the toilet and shower as the B&B room was not booked out :)
