  • Small site on a Norfolk working farm on the outskirts of Warham
  • Five minutes' drive to Wells-next-the-Sea and 10 minutes to Holkham
  • Dog-friendly pitches 15 minutes' walk from a pub
Seals, ales and windmill sails are just three of the treats to be had close to Grove Farm Caravan Site, a small park close to the Norfolk coast. The pitching field at this Warham spot is flat – this is East Anglia, after all – and well-maintained, with views over the countryside and clumps of trees. You might well spot deer here during the twilight hours, and red kites can regularly be seen flying overhead on sunny afternoons. It's a few minutes' walk to the village centre – the place has two gorgeous old churches and is just a few fields over from Warham Camp, an Iron Age hill fort. The well-preserved town of Wells-next-the-Sea (five minutes' drive) is also close by, where there's a harbour and beach that's sometimes frequented by friendly grey seals. Wagging tails are welcome at Grove Farm Caravan Site – take your dog (or just your good self) off walking at Holkham National Nature Reserve (10 minutes' drive) or through the grand grounds of Holkham Hall. Wifi is supplied by the site, so you'll be able to scout out new locations for cross-country explores too. Self-catering? Bring a barbecue and get cooking out of doors. Then again, when you're just half an hour's walk from a pub that's famous for its pies, chef-cooked meals may also be in the offing…

Local attractions

You're well-placed here to link up to the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway (five minutes' drive) and speed down the coast to historic Walsingham Abbey. It's also worth dawdling in Wells-next-the-Sea when you pull back into the station you set off from – a stroll along the beach, through a pine forest or alongside the place’s multicoloured beach huts is a very fine way to stretch your legs. More walks are to be had in the grounds of Holkham Hall (10 minutes) or at Holkham National Nature Reserve (10 minutes), while the boat trips on offer at Blakeney (15 minutes) will be appreciated by those looking to maximise their seal-spotting chances – around 3,000 pups are born here each winter, so keep your eyes peeled for glimpses of their telltale snowy white coats. For a flavoursome tipple, The Norfolk Brewhouse (15 minutes) is on hand; it's also worth making a detour to Duration Brewing (40 minutes) if your retinue includes fans of indy ales. Carry on with the grain-based theme at Bircham Windmill (30 minutes), a fably floury working mill where you can knead your own loaf from scratch on certain days.

Liked Very quiet & lovely to see chickens & dear on site.

Disliked Would have been nice to see the owner sometime over the weekend ,this paying on line latk is very unsociable.
A sign on the field would have helped all you see is a private sign when going up the drive we had to turn around on private land to go back down the drive then on the way back you notice the electric points in the field.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Very quiet remote, close to beach, 10mins drive but we walked as only 5k and we like walking with the dog. We have our own facilities so happy to go where there is none.

Disliked We knew it was grass pitches but can get muddy when wet, as we have a large motor home often worry about getting stuck, here was fine though

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Loved this site - sooooo perfect for us!! Back to nature - surrounded by wonderful mature trees, local Kites & owls, semi-wild chickens clucking around, peaceful & quiet, lots of space, great fire-pit with log seats, owners super friendly & helpful, lovely grass, well-kept, great for dogs. Only a short 5-10min drive to Wells beach which is beautiful, and so many other local attractions within a very short distance (including some lovely looking pubs). Minimal facilities which suited us - toilet & grey water waste disposal which were very clean, cleaning water, drinking water, compost toilets. Just our cup of tea! Stayed for 3 nights, would happily stay for a week. Will hopefully be back, would definitely recommend if you like the quieter, natural spots. Thank you Grove Farm for a wonderful short break :-)

Will return, eco wc is good, clean and tidy site.
