General

  • Peaceful rural site on the edge of Thetford Forest
  • Easy access to Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and the Norfolk coast
  • Fishing pond, play area and well-stocked shop

Duck down here if you seek a peaceful and friendly park with immaculate amenities, loads of scenic green space, fine fishing and roomy pitches – all on the edge of a forest with easy access to days out of all flavour.

Directly on the edge of Thetford Forest (Britain’s biggest manmade lowland forest, woodland fact fans), Puddledock Farm Caravan and Campsite is well placed for the Broads and the Norfolk coast at Cromer, Great Yarmouth and Holkham, and Norfolk’s towns and cities like Norwich and Bury St Edmunds. It's prime hiking and cycling territory too: the Peddars Way passes close to the site and 26 trails are around to hike in Thetford Forest.

The tree-lined park is spacious and well laid out, with its own fishing pond stocked with carp, tench and roach; a dog walk directly off site; a play area, and excellently-kept and warm amenities including a parent and child bathroom and a disabled bathroom.

Group bookings of three or more units of any sort travelling together are not permitted.

Very quiet and peaceful. Pods are perfectly located next to the pond giving it a lovely atmosphere watching the fish and listening to the water. Everything was amazingly clean and warm. Shower block and toilets situated in the middle of the site so not far to walk at all. Nice clean washing up area. Perfect forest walks and little adventures and all other campers are so friendly. We stayed in the basic small pod and was amazed at how perfect it was. Bbq area provided next to pod (which we thought was in a different part of the camp) picnic bench provided with over head shelter and all in the luxury of your own little area. Owners are the most down to earth friendly people. The pods are very warm and dry and we just absolutely loved it. Would 100% recommend and we will be returning again if not twice again this year. Thank you!

Lovely clean, quiet site. We stayed Friday night and Saturday night. Perfect for visiting a zoo near Lowestoft as was only hour drive there and back on Saturday. Then we had an adventure walk in the woods looking for bugs and things.

Great facilities, lovely forest at the end of the site for endless walks. Very impressed with the pod, heater was a great bonus and we will definitely be back. Son is looking forward to using the lake on the next visit, as it was flooded due to the horrendous weather recently.

That when we had a gas stove on the brick bbq there wasn’t any shelter on the sides of that eating area so it took ages to cook things.
