The Old Stables cabin (four person)

Liked We stayed at the old stables. The place is absolutely amazing. It has absolutely everything you need. It is very private, well maintained, clean, huge bed and the best bed i have slept on. Every single thing has been thought about. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything including gas hob. We truly enjoyed our stay , it was soo peaceful and beautiful setting. 100% would go back. Hosts are super friendly and available at all times. Surrounding grounds have been maintained to a high standard. Its very local to shops and restaurants and everything you could think of. Showers and toilets super clean and checked regularly. Fishing was a added bonus and we managed to get some nice big ones. Thank you so much!!!

Bumble shepherd's hut

Liked Great facilities!
We stayed in Bumble lodge, had everything we needed. A kitted out kitchen with just enough of everything for a decent meal.
Hot tub was ready for our arrival and the sleeping hut was glorious.
Great location for lots of things to see and do around. Will be back.

Bumble shepherd's hut

Liked Everything! The whole place was spotless, and everything was in fantastic condition. The idea of having a separate sleeping and kitchen building is great, the kitchen shed was very well equipped and the whole area was nice a private. The only improvement I could possibly suggest would be some kind of optional outdoor shelter, to provide some shade as it was very hot whilst we were there. We brought our own as a precaution as we had our dog with us.

The Old Stables cabin (four person)

Liked We had a fantastic one night stay at the Old Stables Cabin last weekend. We stayed with our two children and they had the best time from start to finish. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of having the beds ready for the children when we arrived - such a lovely touch that made us feel instantly welcome.

The cabin was cosy, spotless, and beautifully set up, with everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. The surroundings were peaceful and well looked after, making it the perfect place to switch off and enjoy the countryside, even for just one night.

The attention to detail really stood out, and the hosts were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. It’s a great mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Everything was so clean and comfortable, and we will definitely be back!

Local attractions

While you're staying here, make sure to take a peek at Peckover House and Garden (10 minutes' drive), an 18th-century country estate in the gorgeous Isle of Ely area. For a bigger day out, you could also take yourself off to the Sandringham Estate (30 minutes) over the border in Norfolk, where there are 60 acres of landscaped gardens to explore plus extensive rolling parklands. Got birds on the brain? There's a lot of feathered life in this part of East Anglia, so take the opportunity to learn more about it at WWT Welney, a stunning wetland centre home to camouflaged hides where you can spot a range of species. You could also learn how to handle bigger birds of prey at Fens Falconry (15 minutes), a locally run company based on the outskirts of Wisbech. For more family days out, set your satnav in the direction of Church Farm Stow Bardolph (20 minutes), a rare breeds centre with a playground and tea rooms, or drive over to the north Norfolk coast (40 minutes) to splay yourself out on its splendid sandy beaches.
