What customers say
This is a peaceful, eco-friendly campsite with spacious, private pitches, many offering woodland areas. Guests praise the clean facilities, friendly and accommodating owners, and the natural, relaxed atmosphere. The site is well-located for exploring the coast and offers a back-to-basics experience with thoughtful touches like fire pits and a communal games area. Liked Everything was great, spacious pitches that felt private with the woodland portion. Amenities were clean and owners were friendly. Close to beaches and we had plenty to do.

A great site, will return but would book the wooded pitches next time.
Meadow non-electric grass pitch
Liked The small number of pitches. The layout meant you had pleanty of space and privacy. No one was looking directly at you and the children could play safely in view. The toilets were clean and the eslan point was easy to use. The bucket given out for recycling was really useful. The site manager was friendly. I loved the environmentally friendly ethos of the site.
Disliked Would have been great if all pitches had their own wooded table area. I hadn't realised when booking the difference between the pitches. I thought it was electric vs no electric only. Perhaps a few more trees amongst the meadow patch would help with shade and heat control in the changing climate. Having at least one permanent shower would also have been preferable.

Non-electric grass pitch (woodland)
Liked Lovely quiet campsite with large pitches spaced well apart, so you get plenty of privacy. The wooded area was secluded, and was lovely to sit in in the evening! The middle of the campsite has a few games and a space for children to play and run around. Facilities include two toilets, hot water and a working shower.

Loved, loved, loved Magpie Meadow
Non-electric grass pitch (woodland)
Liked From the moment I pulled in the gate I thought it was perfect (for me) I knew my pitch number and drove straight to it. Then popped to reception to pay. What lovely people - chatty and friendly. The toilets were amazing - loved the wriggly tin - hot running water in the kitchen sink, showers (bring your own shower bag or borrow one of theirs) There was a shed with books etc in, a chessboard set up ready to go. My pitch felt secluded and well looked after - nice and flat too. And I had my own little wooded area with a bench table in. Lovely sunset and amazing stars
Disliked Nothing.

Electric grass pitch (woodland)
Liked Lovely back to basics site (with 2 toilets and 2 showers) to boot! Washing up area too. Summerhouse has leaflets with walks information and places to visit. Lovely friendly owners.our dog loved the walks around the site as lots of areas in the centre of the site are left long for wildlife to enjoy, with a mowed path to enable walking too.ground rock hard atm, but isn’t everywhere 🥵.Waitrose a short car journey away or 20 minutes walk.good sized pitches too and very reasonably priced .Will be returning asap.
