General
Fed up with being so far down the pecking order? Colleagues ruffling your feathers? Boss driving you quackers? Duck out of your daily grind for a break at Wild Duck Holiday Park, a Haven site with great facilities, set in a tranquil oasis of woodland near Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads.
Wild Duck Holiday Park is a few miles inland, so you can escape the madding crowds of the coast, yet still be within a few minutes’ drive of the beach and other tourist destinations nearby. Amidst the lush greenery on site you’ll find indoor and outdoor pools, sporty pursuits ranging from fencing to crazy golf, and family-friendly food served all day at the Oasis café bar and grill (there’s also a takeaway).
Although the vibe is quiet and relaxed, Wild Duck Holiday Park nevertheless offers a good schedule of evening entertainment, including magic and science shows, performances from Haven’s professional FunStars, plus visiting bands and acts from the club circuit.
Similarly, there’s plenty of opportunity for fledgling campers to spread their wings in the free children’s clubs, which offer a fun range of experiences for all ages, from circus skills to creative cookery sessions designed by kids’ food hero Annabel Karmel. Young Bear Grylls in the making can get stuck into the wildly entertaining Nature Rockz activities run at the park. Learn all sorts from bushcraft skills to building shelters and making campfires, kids could even get the chance to try pond dipping, beachcombing or go on a bug safari. Most activities are free but a small charge may apply to some.
