  • Multi award-winning site in the Norfolk Broads
  • Within 20 minutes' drive of Great Yarmouth, Horsey Gap and Sea Palling
  • Miniature golf, cycle hire, tennis, café-bar-restaurant and play areas
This family-run holiday park in the Norfolk Broads is bound to be a handy base for getting out and exploring the coast and countryside. Set within a peaceful woodland within the national park, Clippesby Hall has scenic wooded surroundings, high-quality facilities and – get this – it's also only a 20-minute drive from the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth and 35 minutes from the historic city of Norwich. The park lies in a nature-rich area with woodland glades, mature gardens and peaceful green spaces. The modern reception and BASECAMP complex houses a café-bar-restaurant serving everything from full English breakfasts to stonebaked pizzas, plus a shop for essentials. Modern shower facilities (spacious, bright and impeccably maintained) are another convenience. Spend your downtime flitting between the varied leisure facilities: there’s an 18-hole mini golf course, cycle hire and tennis courts directly on site. Kids can also let off steam at the adventure playground, where there are zipwires and a climbing wall, or at the two other on-site play areas.

What customers say

This beautiful campsite offers well-laid-out pitches, many with water and EHU. Reviewers praised the friendly and helpful staff, along with the excellent restaurant and bar. Families enjoyed the games room, crazy golf, playgrounds, and zip lines in the woodland. Shower facilities were described as exceptionally clean. Minor points for improvement included clearer signage to the play area and better access for prams. Some guests experienced noise from trees during windy and rainy weather.

Pine Woods electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (no pets)

Liked The site was very clean. Lady on reception was lovely. She did tell us her name when she welcomed us at basecamp. (Reception, bar, restaurant, and little shop). Toilet and shower block very clean, shower have cubicle with glass door, so your dry stuff remains dry. Some cubicles have sink and toilet so you can also wash in privacy too.

Disliked We booked pine field as it was adults only .due to the time of the year, it may tents were booked not site which left the area free for kids to ride round shouting and playing football on the free grass. I do like children and like to see th enjoying themselves.. however, we booked that area so we could enjoy the peace..

Pine Woods electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (no pets)

Liked Beautiful campsite, immaculate grounds, all pitches are really well kept, facilities are also immaculate, there’s a shop and restaurant on site, plenty of space per pitch, lots of wildlife to see which my son loved, far enough away from Great Yarmouth that it feels in the country side but close enough to get there in 15 minutes, would definitely book again if we came back up that way. Just one watch out for campers, the ground was quite soft, not boggy, but sometime hard to get a bit of traction and we did leave the pitch with tyre grooves in even when trying to be careful, another group also had the same issue and churned up their pitch 😞 but there is plenty of hard standing pitches if you wanted

Disliked Nothing!

Local attractions

There are some very fine adventures to be had once you step outside Clippesby Hall, whether you're after outdoor activities, good scenery or a family day out. The site is in the Norfolk Broads National Park and a short drive from its popular waterways, where boating, canoeing, paddleboarding or peaceful wildlife watching are the go-to activities. Hire a day boat to drift along the rivers while keeping your eyes peeled for herons and otters. There's also stunning countryside on all sides of the site, with miles of quiet lanes and woodland tracks for a gentle walk or longer ramble; circular routes also begin directly from the site. Meanwhile, a 15- to 20-minute drive is all it takes to reach Norfolk's wide sandy beaches, dunes and traditional seaside towns like Great Yarmouth. Those who fancy more wildlife-spotting can head to the coastal nature reserves, birdwatching hides and riverside walks. There are plenty of ideas around these parts for family activities, too, whether it's a trip to animal/adventure parks like Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (20 minutes) or historic houses and museums like the Elizabethan House Museum in Great Yarmouth (20 minutes). Of course, there's also always the option to drive to a cosy village pub or browse nearby independent shops.
