Liked: Stayed at Solitaire Farm aka MJ Kiddy & Son Farm for one night. Arrived late in the evening, phone numbers to ring to gain access to the campsite though word of warning, mobile reception in this area was poor. But the owners live right next door to the camp. Quiet, isolated campsite though immediate adjacent to Drove Road so you will hear vehicles driving past. Grass was long in the campsite and there were some cows and sheep in the next field which you have to walk though to access the washing and water facility. Short walk to the combined toilet and showers facility which was shared with numerous spiders and insects. There were only two other pitchers so no waiting to use the facilties. Shower water was hot and adjustable. Sink didn't have hot water tap. Enjoyed our camp here and would come back again if we are in the area again.
Disliked: Poor mobile connection in the area though obviously not the owners responsibility. No hot tap in the sink.

Liked: Lovely peaceful spot. Great welcome. Views were great and the cows and sheep came to the fence for a visit
Disliked: Bit of a walk to the toilet and shower could see this being a problem when it’s wet and muddy

Liked: Friendly owner. Relaxed atmosphere.
Disliked: Only one toilet and in same building as the shower so often a wait in the morning/ evening. The floor was always filthy. No clean water provided regularly to mop the floor. Bins in bathroom never emptied over our long weekend stay. No hand soap in the bathroom. No hot water in bathroom sink/ dish washing sink.

Liked: Rural setting A simple site, a nice place to stop over. Lovely view. Livestock in the next field! The owners were all lovely
Disliked: The entrance was a bit vague, but no real drama Gate was locked on arrival and I couldn’t get hold of anybody. But soon rectified

Liked: Very hospitable host and waking up to cows and sheep was the highlight! The field is enclosed and extremely safe. Barely any phone reception but that was a plus for us due to wanting to shut off from life. The free range eggs were DELICIOUS. We had 3 dogs with us and they loved it too. We had them off lead as they’re well behaved and the access to the animals is secure. The sound of the birds in the morning was like heaven. There’s a toilet and shower on site too with a guard Goose watching over! Haha! There's also a sink for washing up. We had to leave earlier than expected due to personal reasons but we’ll definitely be returning with more family this summer.

Liked: Not much
Disliked: Filthy toilets and shower room that both men and women share Traffic very noisy from 7am as you are 10 m from road side, no immediate walks from site, you need to drive some where , have been here twice never again. No signal on mobile data, apart from bliss full 😢
