Down a quiet single track on a country road in the village of Tydd St Mary, you’ll not-so-accidentally stumble upon the stunning Greendyke Farm… for this family-run site has three acres of open grassland pitches with views of the Fenland landscape and many stunning sunsets and sunrises. There’s enough space to walk your dog on a lead in the field or take them on a countryside stroll from this peaceful place. The location on the Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk border is right within reach of quiet roads, fishing rivers (within one mile of the site) and riverside walks leading to local villages. It’s also on the National Cycle Route network, and there are local buses from the village. In the village, which is within less than a 15-minute walk, grab essentials from the local shop, duck into the local pub for a meal or let the kids loose in the village playing field, which has a kids’ play area and outdoor gym equipment. The larger local town, Long Sutton, is 10 minutes’ drive away and has Chinese takeaways, fish and chips shops, pizza and other takeaways, a pub and a larger shop; some offer a delivery service. Despite being tucked into peaceful countryside, there are supermarkets in Wisbech too (15 minutes’ drive) and you’ll have no trouble finding farm shops or butchers for barbecue purchases within 20 minutes’ drive of the site, as well as more pubs and restaurants. And the facilities? Very lovely, too… there are outdoor toilet and shower facilities and a firepit is available upon request. The large pitches have more than enough room for an awning. Gorgeous west Norfolk’s Sandringham Estate is only half an hour’s drive away from the site, and for those who want to visit the north Norfolk coast, the seaside town of Hunstanton is just 45 minutes’ drive away.

Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
A cable measuring at least 4 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

Liked: Location's beautiful, short distance in car to local shops/petrol (McDonalds ugh!)

The toilet and showers are great I did go to use the shower but left my shower gel at home by mistake so didn't get to use it (only stayed 2 nights) however I did test the temp - it only starts heating water at full flow fyi anyone who wants to use it

The Hosts were great and whilst I was there I had full reign of the field in my tent as I was the only one there!

If I ever visit the area again (I'm a bit nomadic with my adventures) then I'm coming straight back here.

Liked: What a peaceful location so clean and tidy. Very relaxing stay where we both chilled out.It was our first outing with our motorhome and we couldn't have picked a better place to start.It was a pleasure to chat with the owner and he explained everything very well.We will definitely be returning for longer next time.

Liked: Lovely peaceful site, small, adult only. This site is off a peaceful lane and pitches have views over farmers fields. We had a lovely stay and Tom the owner was great, even helped us when we had a small problem with our van. An lovely hidden gem and we will definitely be back.

Liked: Nice flat pitching
Facilities were good
Felt a secluded site, out off the way off a quiet lane (this was a plus)
Unrestricted views.
Close to shop & pub (reasonable walking distance)
Tom was friendly, helpful and left us to get on with our break.

(I didn't want these next points to detract from our stay, they are just our observations)
Taking a windbreak (or 2) is highly advised just in case its windy
There's only 1 toilet & 1 shower. Perfectly fine facilities but if the site was busier you might want to know this in advance

Disliked: Cold water only at washing up area.

much to stop the wind coming in off the wash

2 regarding the toilet and shower as we are only a small site regarding the numbers of pitches we have . we never get over busy but lets hope in time to come we do get busy . and we have got that in mind if we do get busy we need to address the issue

Liked: The site was clean and well maintained, and the owner was very friendly.

Disliked: The facilities could have been better. There is only one shower and one toilet on site, this was fine in early April, but in busier months might be an issue. The shower barely got warm. The owner said this was probably the boiler pilot light being blown by the wind. A bit of shielding might help.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings must not be for more than 30 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Please note, pup tents are to be used for storage purposes only. Guests may not use them for sleeping.

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. between 01/04 and 31/03.
Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Open fires are prohibited.
Please do not touch or feed the animals.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 10:30 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

Visitors

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
