A peaceful, well-kept site with roomy, level pitches & clean, basic facilities. Owners are friendly, location is quiet w/ nice views. Pub nearby. Some found the single toilet/shower busy at peak times, hot water instructions unclear.

Bluebell power optional grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Nice site flat pitches, nice and peaceful,
Shower and toilet were ok and clean,
Tom was very efficient if we needed him
And very friendly, great local pub in walking distance.
Disliked The fens are a very flat area, and unfortunately we were unlucky with the weather, whilst it was warm and dry the constant 25-30mph wind for 4 days became hard work,
Obviously this was no fault of the site just bad luck, but a common problem for that area we were led to believe

Basic, no frills, option for those wanting somewhere quiet
Buttercup primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked It was very quiet, apart from a road that isn't too far from the field (but that wasn't a huge problem). The field was flat, and lots of space to camp where you wanted. The owner phoned while I was on the way to check that I knew where I was coming, which was kind, and met me when I arrived. It was fine to take the car on the field by the car, which helped with all the camping stuff. The sink, toilet, and shower were clean. Overall it was a good place to camp.
Disliked It was a good place to be, but a few things to be aware of if you are planning on coming:
* I didn't work out that the hot water for the shower only came on if you turned the tap on full (which I only found out by reading the review of someone after I had stayed there). Better instructions would make that clear.
* There is only one shower and toilet, which was OK as it was mostly me on my own, with another couple there for a couple of days - but would be a problem if more people there. Also, they are separate outside cubicles, which was fine as the weather was hot, but wouldn't be great if wet/cold.
* I asked about the wifi on arrival but was told it was rubbish - so didn't bother. Mobile data was slightly patchy on site.

Buttercup primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I just spent the weekend for my first solo camping trip with my dog here. I couldn’t recommend enough, it’s so peaceful with beautiful views of fields and sunsets! The toilet/shower/washing area is great, especially having a proper toilet with a sink and it’s nice having the car next to you! The were only a couple other campers so was nice and private. Definitely will be returning!
