The site's central space

  • Family-friendly countryside park with fishery and reindeer
  • A 20-minute drive from Worcester; 25 minutes from Great Malvern
  • Seven fishing lakes; café on site for breakfast or lunch; pubs nearby
Picnics with local meats, cheeses and artisan breads? Reindeer, alpacas, goats, chickens and pigs Thelma and Louise as neighbours? Day trips to Worcester and the Malvern Hills? Tick, tick and tick? Then head to The Cob House Countryside Park, a family-run site in rural Worcestershire with a fishery, countryside park, café and resident animals such as reindeer. Pick up a traditional breakfast from the site’s fully licensed café-restaurant The Mayfly and then sort a picnic from the local meats, cheeses and artisan breads that are available in The Cob Shop. Once well-fed, you should be quite ready to take on the number of walking routes that start directly from The Cob House or the hilly climbs and mountain biking trails in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, half an hour’s drive away. If you’re around in the daytime, there are home-cooked lunches, cakes and afternoon teas available at the café. That's particularly handy if you're getting stuck into your fishing activities… that’s right, the site also has seven coarse fishing lakes (bring your own equipment and try your luck with some rather large carp). The Cob House Countryside Park runs events throughout the year, such as kids’ fun days, fishing lessons, model boat sailing (every Sunday), car boot sales, racing pigeon release, dog shows and fundraising days. As for essential facilities, the site also has a modern toilet and shower block. What about your day trips? Worcester is the closest city 20 minutes’ drive away and has the River Severn, Worcester Cathedral and heaps of interesting shops. Great Malvern, 25 minutes’ drive away, is a characterful town at the foot of the Malvern Hills too.

What customers say

This well-maintained site offers spacious pitches and a peaceful rural setting with fishing lakes and animals. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are consistently praised for cleanliness. The on-site cafe receives positive mentions for food and atmosphere. Families appreciate the children's play area and farm animals. While most visitors have an excellent experience, some note limited phone signal and occasional noise from other guests. The cafe's closing times are also a point of minor concern for some.

Liked Place was nice , toilets clean, very peacefull

Disliked Lack of internet connection , there is no phone or internet connection here , if you walk around you may get a tiny bit but it’s very hot and miss
Went for a pint at the bar , staff very nice beer rubbish , we were only there for 2 nights but left after one night , tried to stay the 2nd day but it became irritating as we could not even get the tv on , so went to a Brit stop 20 mins down the road and parked up for free and could use the tv and phone , ( I know modern technology etc, but it’s a real miss when you can’t get it , to be honest the camping and caravaning bit is just a side bit for them and they are really mainly focussed on the fishing

Liked The staff were amazing and liked the site for walking our dogs. Cafe and food excellent

Disliked Lack of Internet for the motorhome field and lack of privacy due to people walking across your pitch and ball games being played .
We feel the the layout of the pitches encourages the center of the field to be used for such things.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Bathrooms were always spotless.

Disliked Wardens are very hands off. Children running riot and destroying nature. Other campers were impolite, swearing and walking over our pitch. Shop never open and only sells cans or bottles, tyrells crisps, fishing food and lots of kids toys. No camping essentials. No hair dryers, no freezer for freezer blocks. No electric sockets which are normally available for non electric camping. Animals not cared for. I had to give the rabbits water as their bottle had fallen off. No hay given just straw and some pellets. Far away from a shop to buy food, takeaway or pub. No WiFi unless sat outside the cob house itself. Very little signal.

From the manager: Hi Laura,

It was me you called asking if you could go into the rabbits and reattach the water bottle - I certainly didn't get the impression from you that our animals 'are not cared for'. The rabbits, along with all animals would have been routinely checked before 'bedtime' (I think you called me around 9pm, lock up and checks are at 10pm). Waters get knocked - this is why we have 2 attached bottles.

With regards to shop, it's open every day. Sadly, we can't stock everything. If you have any camping essentials suggestions, that as a camper you cant bring them with you, please email us.

With regards to electric, if you need electric, electric pitches are available. You booked NON EHU.

With regards to distance to pubs, shops etc this information is freely available via google maps before booking. We are a country park, in the countryside.

With regards to other campers, theres unfortunately no way to know who or what type of people would be staying. We are a family park, usually does bring a lot of kids enjoying all the outside space.

Quality campsite, great dog walks, friendly staff.

Liked Great place to stay! The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. The café was a lovely added bonus, and the whole stay was incredibly relaxing. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it.

Local attractions

Kicking things off with a good stroll? Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (half an hour’s drive) has options like a town trail, the Teme Valley path, Worcestershire Beacon and the British Camp trek. The Knapp And Papermill Nature Reserve (20 minutes) is not so strenuous, especially if you stop to sniff the wildflowers. It might be that you’re after something that’ll evoke the old times, and English composer Elgar's birthplace The Firs (10 minutes) should get any creative juices flowing. Witley Court and Gardens (15 minutes), a grand manor house, and Brockhampton (20 minutes), an ancient estate, make good spots for a picnic among historic surroundings. If you’re after some lively scenes, Worcester (20 minutes) has a cathedral, museum and a busy high street. There are events and shows year round at the Three Counties Showground (half an hour). Great Malvern (25 minutes) is a characterful spot too, with walks into the hills from the railway station, plus a town trail and regular farmers’ markets.
