The site's central space

  • Family-friendly countryside park with fishery and reindeer
  • A 20-minute drive from Worcester; 25 minutes from Great Malvern
  • Seven fishing lakes; café on site for breakfast or lunch; pubs nearby
Picnics with local meats, cheeses and artisan breads? Reindeer, alpacas, goats, chickens and pigs Thelma and Louise as neighbours? Day trips to Worcester and the Malvern Hills? Tick, tick and tick? Then head to The Cob House Countryside Park, a family-run site in rural Worcestershire with a fishery, countryside park, café and resident animals such as reindeer. Pick up a traditional breakfast from the site’s fully licensed café-restaurant The Mayfly and then sort a picnic from the local meats, cheeses and artisan breads that are available in The Cob Shop. Once well-fed, you should be quite ready to take on the number of walking routes that start directly from The Cob House or the hilly climbs and mountain biking trails in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, half an hour’s drive away. If you’re around during the daytime, there are home-cooked lunches, cakes and afternoon teas available at the café. That's particularly handy if you're getting stuck into your fishing activities… that’s right, the site also has seven coarse fishing lakes (bring your own equipment and try your luck with some rather large carp). The Cob House Countryside Park runs events throughout the year, such as kids’ fun days, fishing lessons, model boat sailing (every Sunday), car boot sales, racing pigeon release, dog shows and fundraising days. As for essential facilities, the site also has a modern toilet and shower block. What about your day trips? Worcester is the closest city 20 minutes’ drive away and has the River Severn, Worcester Cathedral and heaps of interesting shops. Great Malvern, 25 minutes’ drive away, is a characterful town at the foot of the Malvern Hills too. For evening meals, there are several pubs within five minutes' drive of the site.

What customers say

A serene, neat, and well-kept spot with roomy sites and lekker staff. Praised for spotless ablutions, a great cafe, and animal enclosures for kids. Limited Wi-Fi/signal noted, but quiet, great value, highly recommended for return trips.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Liked the overall site really good pitch sizes clean toilets and showers
Animal park and kids parks were very clean an tidy and lots of fun for everyone

Disliked Shop no basic essentials eggs milk etc
Restaurant/ bar closes 2:30pm every day was a bit silly in my
Opinion not having bar open till around 9pm on weekends or even weekdays as it’s right by the children’s park it’s nice to grab food around tea time whilst kids are playing on park and adults have a beer I think you might be missing a trick / and a decent revenue source especially on weekends just breaks up the day and people will be more interested to eat out later in evening especially when it’s hot weather

People not being told to keep the noise down at 1:30 am people still being noisy shouting an laughing not that I’m a kill joy but have a bit of respect for your neighbours

Definitely no phone or tv signal a dead spot throughout park lol ( not always a bad thing )

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Lots of green space to walk around (and running/playing for kids or water fights due to the weather) and bonus of animals to visit: rabbits (escapees when we were there lol), alpacas, reindeer, kids play areas 😊
Pitch was good, we were near wardens and facilities.
Facilities were new and clean and fresh 😊
Fishing activities on site.
On site cafe was wonderful, gorgeous breakfasts, lunches, coffees, alcohol, ice cream, cakes etc.
Shop on site was basic but enough.
Nearby Masons Arms was a lovely place and the food superb and reasonably priced.
Worcester not far to visit as well as other local towns.
All round was good and we're going back!

Disliked Cafe closing at 4pm 😌
Wifi mainly at the cafe, not good on pitch, also struggled with tv but not sure of that's just us!

Liked Lovely site. Great welcome.

A peaceful site, with lovely surroundings.

The site wardens were welcoming and very helpful.

Toilet/Shower block was very clean with good sized cubicals.

Great breakfast in the onsite cafe, I would recommend.

Although parts of the site were used for fishing competitions and other events, it really didn’t impact on the camping fields.

Disliked Mobile phone coverage was virtually zero on several network. Obviously nothing the site could do about that, but maybe free site wide WiFi could be looked into.

Kicking things off with a good stroll? Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (half an hour’s drive) has options like a town trail, the Teme Valley path, Worcestershire Beacon and the British Camp trek. The Knapp And Papermill Nature Reserve (20 minutes) is not so strenuous, especially if you stop to sniff the wildflowers. It might be that you’re after something that’ll evoke the old times, and English composer Elgar's birthplace The Firs (10 minutes) should get any creative juices flowing. Witley Court and Gardens (15 minutes), a grand manor house, and Brockhampton (20 minutes), an ancient estate, make good spots for a picnic among historic surroundings. If you’re after some lively scenes, Worcester (20 minutes) has a cathedral, museum and a busy high street. There are events and shows year round at the Three Counties Showground (half an hour). Great Malvern (25 minutes) is a characterful spot too, with walks into the hills from the railway station, plus a town trail and regular farmers’ markets.
