Ketch Caravan Park: On the banks of the River Severn

General

  • On the banks of the River Severn, two miles from Worcester city centre
  • Close to the M5, 15 minutes' drive from the Malvern Hills
  • Fishing on site; riverside walk from site to city centre

Ketch Caravan Park is a peaceful Worcestershire park on the banks of the River Severn, around two miles from Worcester city centre. A riverside footpath runs from the site to the city’s shops and attractions; alternatively you can drive it in five minutes or so.

As well as providing pleasant strolls into town, the river also supplies a pretty backdrop for the site, with the Malvern Hills visible in the distance. Guests can go fishing in the river directly from the site too.

Getting in, out and around to local attractions is very straightforward from here: the park is handily placed close to the A4440 and only a few minutes’ drive from the M5. That makes it both a nifty stopover point on a longer motorway journey and a good place to settle for days out visiting the likes of Tewkesbury, Snowshill Manor and Evesham, or walks in the scenic Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Ketch Caravan Park is a family-friendly site that welcomes dogs and allows barbecues.

The linear layout meant more privacy than usual but could chat to people as we walked to the toilet block if we wanted to.
    Friendly and helpful managers.
Nice views of the Malverns and from some pitches you could see the River
Aldi within walking distance as well as Harvester and Toby Carvery
Nice river walk to Worcester and also an easy Cycling path also to Worcester, along the canals and nature reserves.

    Disliked:

I really disliked the Chemical disposal facility that seemed to be frequently overflowing or very slow to drain away.
The inconvenience of having to find 20p for the showers in this currently cashless society

This is a lovely site. We received a warm welcome from the wardens, Donna and Rob, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Whilst the shower block is a little dated, they were clean and you had time for a decent long shower for your 20p. we will definately be returning.

What a gem 💎 of a site. Donna and Rob made us feel welcome and were always on hand if you needed them. Upon arrival we were guided to our pitch which overlooked the river 7. The pitches were a great size with electric and water points nearby. Showers and toilet block were clean and the showers were fully adjustable so perfect temperatures 👍 I will definitely be coming back infact I am next week! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great site but noisy with excellent facilities, ideal for exploring.11/06/2021

Shower and toilet block were very clean. Showers cost 20p but well worth it, powerful, hot and plenty of time on the timer.
Location was ideal for exploring the area, especially the Malvern Hills.
Toby Carvery next door served great Sunday dinner!
The site managers were really helpful when our electric hook up wasn't working. Locals were really friendly.

    Disliked:

The noise from the road was constant and quite intrusive. There is work being done on the overhead bridge and they started at 7.30am every day. When you're in a tent there is no barrier to this, shame we weren't allowed to go the other end of the site where it may of been a bit quieter.
Unable to see the river due to overgrown grass etc.
Managers deciding to clean the sinks and floors around me whilst I was trying to clean my teeth.

The wardens at Ketch Caravan Park were very friendly and helpful they showed us to our pitch and told us everything we needed know. The site itself was lovely very peaceful and very close to Worcester, would definitely visit again.

    Disliked:

The only issue we had was that there’s was to much wild life in the ladies toilets too many spiders and cobwebs on the ceiling, widows doors, a better cleaning routine to remove these would be good.

    Disliked:

No pots and pan washing up facilities. Toilets block needs a bit more attention to detail when being cleaned. Walk along river to Worcester was becoming a bit overgrown.
