Located within the three counties showground at the foot of the malvern hills

  • Large and well-located site in the foothills of the Malvern Hills
  • Five minutes' drive from Great Malvern and 25 minutes from Worcester
  • A mile and a half from a golf club and brewery
Roll up, roll up – come and admire this splendid site set against a backdrop of the Malvern Hills… As its name suggests, Three Counties Showground Campsite stretches over three counties: Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the A449, making it as simple as can be to get out to the footpaths and bridleways that link up the many scenic parts of the Malvern Hills. What's happening on site will depend largely on when you come – the showground's a popular venue for food festivals, county fairs, flower shows and the like, so check to see if there's anything that takes your fancy while booking in. (Please note your pitch booking does not give you access to any events – these need to be booked separately at the showground's own website). This family-friendly spot has toilets (including accessible ones) and free wifi so you can stay in touch while away on hol, and four-legged companions can join you on stays here. Barbecues are allowed (off the ground, please, so it can stay in show-worthy shape). There are lots of other food options in the local area, like the supermarkets and pubs in Great Malvern (five minutes’ drive) or the food stalls that spring up when a show’s in town.

What customers say

A well-located, clean, and friendly campsite with spacious, level pitches. Many guests praised the helpfulness and warmth of the staff, particularly George the warden. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are generally clean and functional, with some recent refurbishments noted. The site is ideal for visiting the Three Counties Showground and exploring the Malvern Hills, though some road noise was mentioned. A popular choice for return visits.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The steward, George, is so helpful and friendly - a credit to the site. Nice and flat pitches with plenty of room. Ground was very hard but noting a few hardstanding pegs didn't sort out. Plenty of hot water for washing up and the showers are large and the water hot. Quite noisy if you park adjacent to the road if you're in a tent. Security of the site is excellent with a barrier during the day plus locked gates at night. Most folk on the site were there for National Gundog championship show so if you are not a fan of dogs it might be work checking the Three Counties Showground website to see what events are on during your stay. The Malvern Hills make for a lovely backdrop.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The man on the gate was very nice

Disliked Didn't like the whole vibe going in. It felt like a prison camp. We went to the wrong gate originally and the security told us they had been having issues recently. We made it to the campsite (one entrance before) and it felt as if we were heading into a cage, which was strange as it was a big open space. There's an incredibly noisy road next to the camp. There were some traveling people staying just opposite the entrance and it made us feel uneasy about leaving the site. Constant barking dogs on site also.

Electric grass pitch

Liked I found the pitches to be large and reasonably flat. Easy to find hook up and water taps.

Disliked Toilets could have been better serviced, no toilet paper in some and plenty of cobwebs.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Site level showers clean and warm toilets ok

Disliked Amount of rubbish that blow from show field under gates and down caravan site . People allowed there dogs to bark constantly and never told them to be quiet and we are dog lover's. The fact the gates onto show field were locked and we were not allowed a combination number but as soon as gypsy turned up onto ajoining show field staff then new number to use the gate to stop gypsy to get in .

Electric grass pitch

Liked The view of the Malvern hills. 5 min walk to entrance to the shoe.

Disliked We read no visitors allowed but tent pitch opposite us had 2 additional cars that came in & the group started kicking a football about & just missed our car / caravan a number of times. Their ball came under our car so we told them politely to play somewhere else. No too impressed. Warden( George) was very helpful & friendly so that was a plus.

Local attractions

Small fry and grownups looking to splash around are five minutes' drive from a local leisure centre, where there's a wave machine, a full-size 25-metre pool and a waterslide. Other options on your doorstep include the well-regarded 18-hole Worcestershire Golf Club (five minutes' drive) and the Lakehouse Brewery, where you can pick up a box of local ales, book yourself onto a tour or stay for the whole day and brew your own batch. The marvels of the Malvern Hills – the highest bits of which are visible across the site – are also close at hand, with hikes up the Worcestershire Beacon (five minutes' drive then a half-hour walk) and the six-mile lap of the Eastnor Estate (15 minutes) being two popular picks. The architecturally inclined may well wish to make a pilgrimage to gorgeous Tewkesbury Abbey (20 minutes) or Worcester Cathedral (25 minutes) while they're here, or to the Brockhampton Estate (half an hour) for strolls around superb secular structures and 700 acres of woodland.
