- Friendly family-run glamping and camping farm site near Malvern Hills
- A 15-minute drive to Great Malvern and 10 minutes to Bromyard
- Bar and communal campfire with sofas
Wander off to the Worcestershire countryside and a good choice of pitches for all sorts of travellers at Out to Grass. On this family-run farm site, a 15-minute drive from Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you can pick from stays on the quieter family field and more sociable ones at a livelier area.
Wherever you settle, you’ll enjoy fabulous countryside views by day, and can take your place by the covered communal campfire after dark. There are plenty of friendly faces on this farm, run by the same family for the past 50 years, who are always happy to to point you towards the best bits of the area: perhaps the cathedral and craft shops of Great Malvern, 15 minutes’ drive away, or the historic market town of Bromyard, 10 minutes by car.
Want to tackle the area by foot? Not to worry, there are woodland footpaths on your doorstep, and the mountainous tracks in Malvern Hills 15 minutes’ drive away. This site is also dog-friendly (and kid-friendly, too), so all the family can get a real countryside fix.
Once you’ve ticked off all the places on your map, sink into a sofa around the firepit and pick up local beers and ciders from the on-site bar, or head out to one of several pubs within a 10-minute drive. As well as a bar, the site has professional festival caterers selling real coffee, fresh smoothies and hot food. Each weekend there will be music playing, as well as a variety of workshops, activities and wellbeing offerings such as massages and morning yoga.

Local attractions
Bounce between the peaks of the Malvern Hills Outstanding Area of Beauty (15 minutes’ drive), where the views stretch for miles… and test out the myth of the Malvern Wells for yourself. If it truly has health-enhancing properties, you’ll be full of beans to descend upon the town of Great Malvern (15 minutes) with its crafts shops, galleries, and echo chambers of the Great Malvern Priory.
Arts people will want to top up their creative battery with a show at Malvern Theatre (15 minutes) or go where all fashionable society used to party a century ago, at Witley Court and Gardens (25 minutes), today a spectacular ruin. Under the shadow of Malvern Hills, arts and crafts seep into the Blue-Ginger art gallery too, where you can fill your car with pottery, paintings, and crafts made by locals.
Closer to the site, get your rod, line, and sinker ready for the fishing pond Evesbatch Old Lake (5 minutes) – see if you can reel in the biggest catch of the day – or set your sights on the woodland animals around the countryside bridleways leading from the village.

We are sorry that you did not have a satisfactory experience with us. However, you did book on a weekend which was clearly labeled as an adult only weekend. We offer many wonderful family weekends at OTG with lots of activities and fun things for children but this weekend was especially marketed as an adult only party weekend. Our family field is beautifully flat but we were not able to put you on this field due to the nature of the weekend. Instead of turning you away as we should have done, we allocated you a huge pitch in an adjoining field and offered to run you out electric from the main site or refund you. I organised last min portaloos so you would have facilities and a window for the kids to briefly enter main site to shower. Many campsites consist of a field without any facilities and so you did not miss out on anything, had you read the write up properly and not booked an adult only weekend then you would have been able to access the music domes with your children but we work hard to maintain a suitable and safe space for minors
I do not believe I was rude to you at all, indeed I did my best to accommodate you after you had incorrectly booked. I went out of my way to make you as comfortable as I could despite you being very grumpy with me and my crew
If you would like to come back on a family weekend then you would be very welcome
Kind Regards
Maaike Dawson
