Make a break for the Malvern Hills National Landscape and a stay at Brickwalls Barn Caravan and Camping Site . This sweet little family-run Worcestershire site has fabulous views towards the hills and a peaceful atmosphere that’s just right for a quiet rural sojourn.
It’s an adults-only setup here so you can expect a good dose of peace and quiet – and as there are only a handful of guests on site at any one time, you can expect a decent amount of space in which to relax too. Dogs are welcome here, and there’s a footpath just outside the site for a nice stroll (dogs or no dogs…).
Having looked at the Malvern Hills from afar, no doubt you’ll be keen to get out and explore this stunning scenery – and that’s easily done, as a drive of 10 to 20 minutes will get you to some of the area’s top spots. Head in the other direction and you’ll reach the Cotswolds National Landscape, adding more lovely walking trails to your list. Closer to home, you can walk to Hanley Swan, about a mile away, along a level route that gets you to the village shop and local pub.
Upton on Severn, about five minutes’ drive away, is another place that’s well worth visiting – particularly if you’re here when one of its lively music festivals is in action. Great Malvern, Tewkesbury and Worcester are all nearby for more urban strolls, and it’s about a 10-minute drive to events at the Three Counties Showground.
It’s a very simple setup at this site with no guest toilets or showers, so you’ll need to be self-contained on the bathroom front.
