Nice clean site with easy access…
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Nice clean site with easy access to the adjacent retail park and some lovely countryside walks.
Facilities were basic, but fine for our needs (plenty of cean toilets and warm showers).
A little bit of noise from th near by bypass but had a great night's sleep nonetheless.
No electric hookup, but again not a problem as I run solar which covers my electric needs.
Ideal for short stays, and I will visit again.

From the manager: Hi Adam,
We were pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay.
As a temporary pop‑up campsite, we don’t offer electric hook‑up, and our facilities are intentionally simple. We feel that our price of £25 per night reflects this and offers good value for the facilities we provide.
For guests who require electric hook‑up or more established amenities, we always recommend visiting one of the local more established campsites instead.
We had a really enjoyable stay…

Liked We had a really enjoyable stay at this pop-up campsite. It’s only been open for a week, so it’s made a great first impression. The facilities were good, lovely shopping village and there was plenty to keep the kids entertained, including a play park, splash pad and steam train, which they loved. Very friendly staff on arrival with clear signs directing us to the campsite and received a welcoming pack which was an added bonus.
Overall, it’s a lovely family-friendly campsite with lots to do, and we’d happily visit again.
Disliked The only slight negative was that some local dog walkers seemed to ignore the signs asking for dogs to be kept on leads. I understand the campsite is new and locals may be used to walking through the area, but we had a few unfamiliar dogs wander over and try to come into our tent, which wasn’t ideal. Hopefully, as people become more aware that the campsite is there, they’ll respect the signs and keep their dogs on leads.

From the manager: Hello Nicola,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It's great to hear that you really enjoyed your time on-site.
Thank you for letting us know about the issues with local dog walkers. We had hoped that the additional signage would prevent people from entering the fields. We’ve passed this on to our team so we can look at further ways to manage this and improve the experience for our guests.
Great stay highly recommend thank you

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked It was ideal for a stop over for one night. The shops and the little craft beer place were great. The site is very basic , but fine. I’d use again if passing through
Disliked The toilets are porter toilets. Bit grim by morning.

From the manager: Hi Emma,
Glad to hear you enjoyed the shops and the Tap Room.
We are sorry to hear that you felt the toilets were dirty in the morning, you visited us in our first week so we are still learning how frequent the checks need to be. Following your feedback, we have implemented a more regular checking system.
Half way home from Cornwall stop over, would definitely stay again
Non-electric gravel motorhome pitch
Liked Everything, big pitches, customer service and a lovely garden centre and shops 2 mins walk away. If you have young children there’s a wet and play area, indoor play centre, crazy golf and play park.
Showers clean, lovely hot water so not bad for a pop up site!
Disliked Nothing to dislike here for £25 a night.

Great site with plenty to do
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Nice site with loads to do. Great welcome.
Really good to have so much available on a good value site.
Mini railway, mini golf, high wire course, play castle, splash pad, numerous shops and eating options, craft ale bar, KFC just around the corner. Plenty of countryside and good walks.
Disliked That it's not open for longer :)
Minor things - Some holes in the ground could be filled in. Doesn't appear to be any elsan disposal.

From the manager: Hi Dan,
It's great to hear that you enjoyed your visit.
Thank you for your feedback and for letting us know about the uneven areas on the ground. We’ll pass this on to our site team to review. As we are a pop‑up campsite, we don’t have Elsan waste disposal facilities on site. For guests who require this service, we recommend using one of the more established local campsites nearby.

The cleanliness of the site was…
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked The cleanliness of the site was good. Everything you need from showers. Toilets and pot washing with no added frills and just half an hour walk into town. The staff on site were also very friendly and welcoming. A little odd but also quite handy having a shopping outlet with bar right next to the site.

Great welcoming and clean campsite
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked We were welcomed personally onto the site and gifted a welcome pack that included a bottle of peach mocktail, free gifts and discount vouchers. The pitches were spacious and the facilities were really clean and well mainained. Plenty to do nearby to keep the children entertained, we had a great weekend
Disliked There were a few campers opposite that were disrespectful to the rules, parking cars and pitching tents close together against safety regulations. Their children were out shouting and kicking balls that hit cars until 1am and the parents were lighting bbq's (also against the rules). This wasn't an issue with the site its self, but wish they had explained how to log complaints when we checked in

Sorry to hear of the issues you experienced with other campers. We are learning as we go at the moment as this is all very new to us but following your feedback we have added the out of hours contact details to the toilet doors and we are also making people aware of how to report any issues during the check-in process.
What a great stay. So much to do at the valley anyway- now even better
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Facilities and things to do on site were brilliant. Small site but busy enough for an atmosphere. Temporary facilities were great for what you would expect for temporary facilities. The welcome goody bag was a nice touch and the friendly face of the warden (who was very helpful) was great! I actually think they made a big difference. I was sceptical about visiting a pop up campsite, but having a friendly and knowledgeable warden put everything as bay!
Disliked Only had one negative, but I won’t mention specifically, was to do with the grounds, but I noticed on departure day, the warden attempting to fix the issue- without me having said anything- so I think a very proactive site learning as they go. We arrived only 3 days after opening day!
As it’s only a pop up campsite, an unusual observation was some of the locals who are used to the land being freely accessible to them for walking their dog- moaning loudly as if the campsite was a bad thing- and refusing to change their habits. Nothing negative per se- certainly nothing the valley could have done- but there were a few locals moaning about the existence of the campsite and wanting to walk where the tents were!
