  • Dog-friendly alpaca ranch stay surrounded by woodlands
  • A 10-minute drive from Go Ape Wyre and 20 minutes from Wyre Forest
  • Alpaca walking through the forest, firewood and kindling available
Join the alpacas for a dog-friendly ranch stay surrounded by woodlands at Belvedere Alpaca Ranch in Worcestershire. With views of the woods and alpacas, ponies, pygmy goats and chickens to feed or observe, thereā€™s plenty to like here. The alpaca ranch backs onto the Ribbesford Woods in Bewdley and the huge Wyre Forest is only 20 minutesā€™ drive away too. Get stuck into alpaca walks through the forest. There are public right of way walks departing directly from the site and into the woodlands, where the 31-mile Worcestershire Way can be picked up too. Make it back in time to cook over the fire if you wish. Firewood, kindling and fire starter kits can be purchased on site and thereā€™s a cooking/grilling tripod available for hire, which stands over the fire. All youā€™ll need to bring, in that case, is cooking equipment like pots and pansā€¦ and your own grub, sourced from farm shops or other shops in Bewdley, five minutesā€™ drive away. Bewdley has plenty of restaurants and pubs too, as well as a swimming pool. Thereā€™s a composting toilet on site, but no showers yet. The owners advise heating up water on a self-brought gas stove to have yourself an outdoor wild wash or visiting the Wyre Forest Leisure Centreā€™s full shower facilities and swimming pool, which are 15 minutesā€™ drive away. Kids are welcome on site, as are well-behaved dogs (to be kept on a lead, please). Plus, there are adults-only weekends available.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked: Nice and simple just as advertised, wonderful views and plenty of alpacas (although most were fairly far away, fenced off) Site is small and fairly narrow but a nice stay. Didnā€™t meet the owners but received a message before with all necessary details and more. Would recommend and probably return if nearby.

Liked: Peace and views

Disliked: Not much. Missed the fact there was no drinking water in the listing so that could be clearer.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Lovely clean campsite. Fully functioning toilet that was spotlessly clean. Gorgeous peaceful location with cute alpacas in the neighbouring field. Fab fire pits you can reserve with generous wood/coal/firelighters

Disliked: Not much to do for older children, so probably 1 night would have been plenty but was nice to come away and completely unwind so not so much a dislike just thing probably more suited for couples and younger children. Also gazebos arenā€™t allowed and the weather was terrible for most of the weekend so whereas we would normally sit out no matter what the weather under the gazebo, we had to spend a lot of time sheltering in the tents. Again not really a dislike but when the weather is bad a gazebo would be an essential for us for future camping trips.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Lovely and welcoming. Stunning views and as for the alpacas they were super cute. Ranch seems to be in its infancy but is perfect for people who love to pitch and explore their surroundings.

Disliked: Think maybe some gentle sola lamps would help getting to the toilet facilities and a lock on the inside of the toilet.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Where do I startā€¦. From the moment of my arrival I was impressed by the welcoming owners. The alpacas are delightful and inquisitive. Thereā€™s a couple of cheeky goats full of fun too. The site is immaculate and the toilet was a great bonus and spotlessly clean. The views are amazing as are the local walks. Thereā€™s a lovely pop up real ale barn at the end of the road which also do food. Perfect relaxing break

Disliked: there are no dislikes and I will definitely be returning in the near future and will bring others friends along too

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Immaculate site! The pitches are nicely spaced out. It's incredibly peaceful at night except for the wildlife. The alpacas are doing their thing in the field right next to the pitches. They look like a very well cared for herd with beautiful fleeces. The toilet was spotless. The owners checked in on us and then left us to it which was perfect. You feel like you're miles from anywhere but it's just 5 minutes drive into town.

Disliked: A sink would be nice, or some hand sanitiser somewhere. Not a game changer though.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Loved being able to choose own pitch. The site is so quiet and peaceful. Loved seeing the beautiful animals šŸ˜ the hosts were so welcoming. Toilet is proper and flushing and kept very clean. Paid extra Ā£10 to use fire pit for bbq cooking. We realised we were on a slight slant when we got into bed but that is our fault as hadnā€™t realised. Will definitely be back again and to take advantage of the alpaca walk!

Disliked: The fact we didnā€™t stay longer!!!
