  • A short walk from two village pubs; footpaths and country lanes nearby
Staying in the grounds of a farm and wandering down local country lanes, you’re in for a rather relaxing time at Hood Lane Farm in rural Warwickshire. Activities? On site, you may want to take a walk around the grounds and go insect spotting at the wildlife pond and in the evening, sit out and watch the stars. There's plenty of scope for lounging with a cool drink in hand, admiring the views of the countryside and reminiscing on your days out at the likes of Drayton Manor Theme Park and Twycross Zoo (both 25 minutes’ drive) or Market Bosworth (20 minutes). Off the site, things are just as splendid. Indeed, there’s easy access to local footpaths and country lanes for walking, running and cycling (with your furry friend if you have one, as they’re welcome here too). Afterwards, there are two traditional village pubs under 25 minutes’ walk from the site for local ales and pub grub. That’s not the only option for tracking down fodder and supplies. The local villages also have other amenities within walking distance, including a large golf course, a fish and chip shop, a butchers and a small shop. There’s a book shop and coffee shop five minutes’ drive away. Plus, every Sunday, the Furnace End Market and Car Boot Sale takes place 35 minutes’ walk from the site. This small adults-only site is part of private grounds at Hood Lane Farm and is hosted by the friendly Kearns family and their springer Charlie. Having grown up in the village, David and his family will be happy to help out and point you towards places to visit, eat and drink. This is a small, well-maintained and back to basics site, so it’s well suited for a stopover. Please note that there are no showers available for motorhome guests. An outside toilet is available.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Beautiful and well-maintained farm, cute coffee shop, contactless payment options

Disliked: Grey waste disposal right next to the washing up facilities did smell quite bad

From the manager: Thank you for you're kind review of Hood Lane Farm and The Coffee Hut and most importantly for choosing to stay with us in rural North Warwickshire on you're tour of the UK - it was wonderful to host you both. As it was one of the hottest weekends of the year, when you guys stayed - unfortunately the grey waste disposal would have carried an odour due to heat/weather we had which was excessive but we wanted to just add a note to say thank you for letting us know and to highlight that water waste and grey water is emptied on a regular basis. We wish you safe travels and hope to see again in North Warwickshire.

So nice. Lovely pod, warm welcome, pretty surroundings & dog friendly.

Camping pod

Liked: Lovely, comfortable and well-equipped pod situated in peaceful countryside. David and Lindsay were great hosts and made me feel very welcome. Genuinely dog friendly. I'm not sure who enjoyed our time here more - me or Chip! It was the perfect place to stay whilst I was working in Birmingham for 3 days. Thank you so much.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Lovely location - we arrived just in time to see the amazing sunset through the trees. We were here just one night as a stopover on our way to Somerset and this was the perfect location. David was extremely helpful and provided us with a long electric extension cable so that we could hook up without parking too close to the other vans! Also provided artificial grass mats to put our motorhome levelling ramps on so they didn’t sink in the grass which was a great idea and as motorhome newbies, we hadn’t thought of that - we will be investing in some of those to carry with us! A lovely site with friendly and helpful host - we will definitely be back.

Disliked: Nothing

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Lovely, peaceful, quiet site located in the countryside, with plenty of footpaths for doggy walks. Friendly and helpful reception. Loo was clean and plumbed in (with a night-light), and has there's a sink with cold water for wash-ups.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: A wonderful retreat in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. The stunning views and tranquility were just what we needed. The best hosts who gave us information prior to arrival, greeted us warmly and were always available to answer a question. The views of the countryside and sunset were spectacular. The craft and natter evening in the barn was icing on the cake for me. We came in our motorhome and there was everything we needed. Thank you Lindsay and David. We look forward to coming again.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Very friendly host, lovely location and childfree so a bonus, very clean and a toilet near the pitch,no showers but not required as it's more of a stopover location., they do have a clamping pod and a very nice coffee house and library/seating area, always planned on never going back to a place but this place does merit a return ,very nice pub about 25mins away, large car boot just up the road on a sunday

Disliked: No WiFi but if you are trying to get away from it all ,then it's a plus point

Camping pod

Liked: The pod was amazing, beautifully furnished and well appointed. The views from the veranda were wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from the sofa. My hosts were excellent and exceedingly welcoming. The fact that you can park right outside the pod was very handy, especially for a lone female. I will most definitely book with them again.
