What customers say

A beautiful and clean campsite with a superb riverside location. The friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, and excellent on-site restaurant and bar are frequently praised. The convenient water taxi to Stratford-upon-Avon is a significant bonus for many visitors. While the site is generally well-maintained, some reviews note that the toilet and shower facilities are dated. A minority of guests experienced issues with uncomfortable beds in accommodation and the cost of WiFi.

Electric grass touring pitch (riverside)

Liked Fantastic location. Proximity to Stratford is a great walk or even a water taxi when the weather permits.
The washrooms are excellent with spacious showers and plenty of hot water.
The on site restaurant and bar is superb with a huge outdoor TV for watching the sport.
We paid for the on-site Wi-Fi which wasn’t fantastic but to be fair the weather was really bad so reserve judgment on that one.
The caravan and motorhome pitches are all on level grass.
We highly recommend this site and are already planning to go back.

Disliked Nothing!

Electric grass touring pitch (riverside)

Liked Everything about the site, clean well maintained; all the staff I encountered were friendly & courteous; ideal location for easy access to Stratford; the onsite bar/restaurant is impressive and reasonably priced.
(One word of advice, if you want EHU you will almost certainly need a 25 metre long cable.)

Disliked Nothing of importance.

Electric grass touring pitch (riverside)

Liked Beautiful location. Clean and well maintained site. Friendly staff.

Disliked A little on the pricey side. Our 5 night stay worked out at £44 per night, which was off-peak season (end of Sept).
Would visit again though.

Local attractions

For a change from the river taxi, guests can stroll into Stratford-upon-Avon to take in a play from the Royal Shakespeare Company, have a flutter at the races, or visit the many Shakespeare sights dotted around the city. There’s also excellent retail therapy to be had here, as well as in the elegant surrounding towns of Cheltenham, Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick.
Sporty types will find golf courses, swimming pools and many other facilities nearby, and of course there are plenty of good walking opportunities along the river and out into the lovely Warwickshire countryside. Further along the banks of the Avon are the stately country house of Charlecote Park, and winsome Warwick Castle, which has plenty of things to do and see for all ages. Also nearby are the majestic ruins of Kenilworth Castle, where Robert Dudley and Elizabeth I used to make out; or you could follow in the footsteps of the Gunpowder Plotters of 1605 with a visit to Coughton Court. At the Ragley Hall Estate, visitors can take a tour of the Palladian mansion, go sculpture spotting in the Capability Brown parkland, or lose themselves in the 3D maze. The site is also a great base from which to explore the villages and landscapes of the Cotswolds.
