  • Over a mile and a half of free fishing on the River Avon
  • Riverside Venue Bar and Restaurant and a multi-sports pitch on site
Imagine drifting past weeping willows, verdant banks and genteel swans in your own private river taxi, before stepping off in the centre of stunning Stratford-upon-Avon only a mile away. If this sounds like the kind of thing dreams are made of, take a look at Stratford Parks Holiday Park, a peaceful and plant-filled site on the River Avon in the Warwickshire countryside. The park's Riverside Venue Bar and Restaurant has a delicious variety of food and drink, as well as events throughout the high season and on some weekends. There's a multi-sports pitch on site for family games and over a mile and half of free river fishing for those who want to spend a peaceful afternoon on the river banks. A daily river taxi service also runs from Stratford Parks Holiday Park to Stratford-upon-Avon, where there are Shakespeare attractions and lots of places to eat or shop. Arriving with a furry companion? There are also designated dog-walking areas on site.

Snug Pod camping pod

Liked Spacious pitch. Location was lovely. Stratford was beautiful. Playground.

Disliked FOLD-OUT BED WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP ON! It was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever tried to sleep on and we actually left a day early because we couldn't sleep. It was like trying to sleep on a bag of rocks. Our friends slept on the floor because it was more comfortable than the bed and we saw other people sleeping on the ground outside their cabins to avoid the beds. I am requesting a refund.
Bed was actually broken (see pics)
The snugs was very small despite being on a large pitch and there were few places to pit anything eg no shelves inside.
Toilets were flooded/not nice and the tape ran constantly.
Poor value for money considering the price.
Loud music from the clubhouse went on till late (10-11pm) and there wasn't a respectful feeling on the site ie people stayed outside chatting and laughing until the small hours.
Food and drink at the clubhouse were over-priced.
River taxi was cool but infrequent.
I would NEVER stay here again.

Electric grass touring pitch (riverside)

Liked Good location for Stratford - approximately a 1 mile walk (25 min walk) into Center.

Disliked No choice of pitch (you are escorted and directed to your pitch - August), wouldn’t pay the extra for a riverside view. Toilet blocks are extremely dated - one temperature shower whereby you press the valve.

Local attractions

For a change from the river taxi, guests can stroll into Stratford-upon-Avon to take in a play from the Royal Shakespeare Company, have a flutter at the races, or visit the many Shakespeare sights dotted around the city. There’s also excellent retail therapy to be had here, as well as in the elegant surrounding towns of Cheltenham, Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick.
Sporty types will find golf courses, swimming pools and many other facilities nearby, and of course there are plenty of good walking opportunities along the river and out into the lovely Warwickshire countryside. Further along the banks of the Avon are the stately country house of Charlecote Park, and winsome Warwick Castle, which has plenty of things to do and see for all ages. Also nearby are the majestic ruins of Kenilworth Castle, where Robert Dudley and Elizabeth I used to make out; or you could follow in the footsteps of the Gunpowder Plotters of 1605 with a visit to Coughton Court. At the Ragley Hall Estate, visitors can take a tour of the Palladian mansion, go sculpture spotting in the Capability Brown parkland, or lose themselves in the 3D maze. The site is also a great base from which to explore the villages and landscapes of the Cotswolds.
