I won't return
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Facilities were very good, owners very pleasant.
Disliked First weekend the pub was heaving until well past midnight and the second night was until 1am, then there was a commotion outside for some time.
Second weekend I had one decent night's sleep but the second wasn't as the drunk youngsters after kicking out time were out in the nearby fields screaming and swearing at each other. Not a relaxing stay.

Nice small site behind pub.
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Small, flat site with 5 well marked touring pitches plus room for a couple more in unmarked spaces. 2 wet rooms each combine a shower and toilet and were clean and fresh during our two one night stopover stays. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the pub is well supported by locals who were also warm and friendly.

A lovely site on the whole
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Nice and flat. Adults only and plenty of shade. There’s a handy Co-op just down the road
Disliked The only two toilets were also shower cubicles so if they were both occupied by people showering there was quite a wait to use the toilet. This is ok if the pub is open as there are toilets there. But the pub isn’t always open. Only cold water for washing up.
The chemical waste disposal is rather close to the washing up facilities and I observed a young person confusing the two when washing their frying pan!
Comparatively pricey

Basic 'field at the back of a pub', but does it well.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Welcoming staff; clean, functional facilities, flat(ish) field, nice pub, pretty surroundings.
Disliked The camping field is next to car park and pub garden, so feels a little exposed, and noise from the pub went on well past midnight (Sat).
No food served at the pub (but there is a Co-op nearby and other food pubs in the village).
The pitches felt a little random, and I expect it'd get fraught when busy.

From the manager: Thank you for your comment, unfortunately this is a campsite on a field at the back of a very well supported village community pub. The music on Saturday did not go well past midnight as I personally turned it off about 11:45 the noise may have come from people leaving for that we apologise.
We allocate seven touring pitches five of which are marked out the other two we allocate on arrival. The tents are welcome to pitch on the other side of the field within our guidelines. It never gets fraught when busy as we always show people the facilities and where to pitch up and communicate this with them on arrival whether they listen is a different story.
We are sorry our campsite didn’t live up to your expectations.
Great little site, lovely pub loads…
