Find your happy place at Camping at The Cottage of Content, a rural campsite in the grounds of a Warwickshire pub on the peaceful banks of the river Avon. Set in the small village of Barton, a mile to the south of the amenities of Bidford-on-Avon, this family-friendly spot is well placed for guests looking to explore the Cotswolds National Landscape and Stratford-upon-Avon. Set in quiet green grounds a short stroll from the water's edge, the pitches here have lots of handy facilities including a launderette, a washing-up area, a wifi service, chemical disposal points and modern showers and toilets. Staying in the grounds of a pub also brings an added bonus, of course – namely easy access to food and drinks. And this particular pub is well set up for such things, with a cosy bar serving real ales, a spacious beer garden and a dining area serving up traditional pub meals. Dogs are welcome to join you, as are kids – there’s a play area outside, along with a bouncy castle throughout the summer. Inside, a pool table provides space for a bit of gentle competition. This riverside location is a good one for fishing and riverside walks – to reach the larger village of Bidford-on-Avon, just take the footpath opposite the site for a 10-minute walk along the river. After crossing the old stone bridge you'll have access to more dining options, convenience stores and a small but well-stocked supermarket (a handy place for supplies if you’ve decided to do a barbecue back at base).

Liked Camping here has been absolutely amazing. It has everything you could need for a peaceful getaway in the countryside. I loved the pub it had a very welcoming and friendly environment. the people running the pub were nothing but helpful with anything we needed for the campsite or for inside the pub customer service was 10/10. Good sized menu inside the pub with very reasonable prices and good food. There are multiple shower blocks which was really nice they were clean. Waste disposal area was great easy acsess. Washing machines and sink areas too for the campsite which were clean and easy to use. Lots of space for games and activities with the kids. There are lovely walks in the surrounding areas aswell. Free wifi for everyone to use which was a great touch. Password inside the pub. I think this was a great value for money will most definitely be back.

Liked The pub serves great food and the staff are really friendly and very helpful
Fantastic location and the facilities were not that bad, we didn't have to queue up for showers or using the toilets.
I've seen some of the reviews that were not that favourable but we had a fantastic time, and yes, some things could be improved but we had a great camping experience
We had a lovely camp fire and ate smores and chatted and it was a magical evening.
Pleased that the site was not that big - easy to find our tent!

Disliked It rained occasionally which was a shame
Maybe install extractor fans in the shower blocks and clean them a bit more often.

Liked Absolutely delicious sunday roast

Disliked Way too expensive for what it was.
Wasn't told where anything was.
Nowhere to empty grey waste or toilet ( Was advertised as you could) apart from into a plastic barrel, no thanks!!
Very tight entrance and with a large motorhome thos Wasn't good
Sink washing up arear dirty & greasy

Liked The area.

Disliked Motorhome's and tents pitched next to each other with NO regard to parking or proximity to each other. Toilets and showers were a disgrace. "This place could be lovely". With a some rules implemented and toilets upgraded this campsite could be a really nice place to visit.
