What customers say
Customers praise this well-maintained campsite for its friendly staff, clean facilities, and spacious pitches. The addition of a barn pub with live music and pizza has been a particular highlight, creating a bustling atmosphere. Improvements over recent years, including new shower/toilet blocks and a cafe, are frequently mentioned. While most guests have an excellent experience, minor points raised include occasional issues with footballs encroaching on pitches and the placement of waste disposal points. Some guests also noted that the on-site shop was not always open. Bird scarers, rather than gunshots, were identified as a source of early morning noise. Instructions regarding site layout were also highlighted as an area for improvement.

Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.
No. 27 electric grass pitch
Liked Pitch sizes were very good.
Plenty of lighting.
Great atmosphere over the weekend with thevdj and bands playing.
Disliked Could do with a mop or brush in the shower cubicle. There was quite a lot of grass on the floor.
Needed more hooks in the shower cubicle.
Hand-wash needed refilling more often.
Would be good to have the opening times of the reception and cafe as always closed when passing apart from the cafe open when the do was playing.

Just go and see for yourself. Brilliant.
No. 28 electric grass pitch
Liked Everything! The site was the best site I think I have ever stayed at. The facilities were top notch there was entertainment both Friday and Saturday night and I would go back in a heartbeat. Fantastic place to visit and so much nearby. We visited the national motorcycle museum which if you are a biker or just love engineering is a must. The place had a lush vibe and the people onsite were a mix of campers and locals. There was a pizza van on Friday and a food van Saturday. Pure class can’t wait to return.
Disliked Nowt.

Ideal local site, well maintained.
No. 30 electric grass pitch
Liked Lots of improvments have been made over the past few years. From a field with old toilet cabin to a beautiful new shower/toilet facilities, cafe amd shop. The addition of the barn for drinks and pizzas was fantastic. Such a bustling atmosphere with incredible live music. Suprisingly quiet on the pitch considering the volume of music. Easy to pitch up, site clean and well maintained.
I store my caravan at gopsall so its ideal for me to pull out the van for a few days. I have booked already for next year.
Park is good for the kids.
Disliked Slight dislike was the waste disposal. Its raised, so when emptying waste water in container it was difficult to lift to empty. Would benefit from a lower drain to empty waste water. The Elson disposal height is fine to empty the toilet, just harder with a big waste container.

From the manager: Hi,
Thanks for the review. We send full instructions, including a map prior to guests' arrival, so we will look into this to make sure all emails are going through. There is also a large map on the wall at the reception building.
Our reception/bar area is open from 9am until around 6pm on Saturdays (which is when you arrived looking at your booking date) so we will check why instructions were not given. There is a map on the reception desk, and of course our friendly staff are always more than happy to help with any questions.
We are a relatively small site with all facilities being very easily visible.
Should you stay again please don't hesitate to ask a member of staff any questions as it is frustrating when something that has led to a review score being marked down could have been resolved very easily during a stay.
Many thanks! :-)
Michael
