What customers say
Reviewers love the friendly staff, clean grounds, and roomy spots. The new barn pub with live music and pizza is a hit! Recent upgrades like new restrooms and a cafe are also noted. Minor gripes include stray soccer balls, waste bin placement, and the shop's hours. Early noise comes from bird scarers. Site directions could be clearer.

Just go and see for yourself. Brilliant.
No. 28 powered grass campsite
Liked Everything! The site was the best site I think I have ever stayed at. The facilities were top notch there was entertainment both Friday and Saturday night and I would go back in a heartbeat. Fantastic place to visit and so much nearby. We visited the national motorcycle museum which if you are a biker or just love engineering is a must. The place had a lush vibe and the people onsite were a mix of campers and locals. There was a pizza van on Friday and a food van Saturday. Pure class can’t wait to return.
Disliked Nowt.

Ideal local site, well maintained.
No. 30 powered grass campsite
Liked Lots of improvments have been made over the past few years. From a field with old toilet cabin to a beautiful new shower/toilet facilities, cafe amd shop. The addition of the barn for drinks and pizzas was fantastic. Such a bustling atmosphere with incredible live music. Suprisingly quiet on the pitch considering the volume of music. Easy to pitch up, site clean and well maintained.
I store my caravan at gopsall so its ideal for me to pull out the van for a few days. I have booked already for next year.
Park is good for the kids.
Disliked Slight dislike was the waste disposal. Its raised, so when emptying waste water in container it was difficult to lift to empty. Would benefit from a lower drain to empty waste water. The Elson disposal height is fine to empty the toilet, just harder with a big waste container.

From the manager: Hi,
Thanks for the review. We send full instructions, including a map prior to guests' arrival, so we will look into this to make sure all emails are going through. There is also a large map on the wall at the reception building.
Our reception/bar area is open from 9am until around 6pm on Saturdays (which is when you arrived looking at your booking date) so we will check why instructions were not given. There is a map on the reception desk, and of course our friendly staff are always more than happy to help with any questions.
We are a relatively small site with all facilities being very easily visible.
Should you stay again please don't hesitate to ask a member of staff any questions as it is frustrating when something that has led to a review score being marked down could have been resolved very easily during a stay.
Many thanks! :-)
Michael
Decent site but careful where you choose to pitch.
No. 31 powered grass campsite
Liked Good facilities on site, helpful staff, site well maintained. Nice pub on site with live music but... see below
Disliked Our pitches were behind one end of the kids football pitch so balls coming into them got pretty tedious quite quickly. If you want to avoid then choose a pitch in the main area which is away from the pitch (but also further away from the washrooms etc.) Really, that whole area should be one for playing only with no pitches up there or they put netting up to stop the balls flying over. The inn on the site is nice and the live music in there was good but the other music in there went on far too late on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Again, if you were at the far end of the main camping area then this would not have been such an issue.

From the manager: Many thanks for the review and feedback, which is very helpful. We will move the goals around on the football pitch so the balls don't go towards the pitches you refer to - that's a quick and easy solution, which we could have done for you during your stay.
Regarding the farm pub: We are really pleased you enjoyed - our guests really like this feature. The live music at the pub finished at 11pm on Friday (this was later than usual due to the band having technical issues), and at 10.15pm on Saturday, so the reference to it going into Sunday morning is incorrect.
Thanks again.
