What customers say
This is a modern and well-maintained campsite with excellent, clean toilet and shower facilities. Guests praise the spacious pitches, friendly and helpful staff, and on-site amenities like the micro-pub and entertainment. The site is dog-friendly with lovely walks. Some minor points include distance to shops, occasional issues with facility cleanliness during peak times, and the waste disposal height. The site is continually improving with new additions.

Liked The site is beautiful
Disliked We stayed for two nights and, unfortunately, came away disappointed, particularly as the site is advertised as a peaceful place and our previous stay also involved significant noise from other guests.
During this stay there was an unexpected water outage, which I completely appreciate was outside the site's control. However, the communication around it didn't reach us, so we weren't aware that bottled drinking water was available at reception. We also had dogs with us and, although there was an emergency water supply available later in the day, we weren't aware that additional water could have been provided for them. The owner has since explained what happened with the emails and has been very apologetic, which I do appreciate. They are also looking at improving their emergency water provision, which is reassuring.
There were also road closures around the farm during our stay, meaning there was only one practical route in and we ended up following a lengthy diversion as our sat nav wasn't aware of the closure. Again, the owner explained that the information should have been included in the pre-arrival email but, due to an issue with our email address, it wasn't received. They have said they are addressing this.
Regarding noise, the group celebrating a 16th birthday during our stay were actually lovely and very respectful, so this isn't a criticism of them personally. However, we did experience enough noise to make us question the description of the site as peaceful, particularly given our previous experience here.
To be fair, the owner responded thoroughly to our concerns after our stay and clearly does take feedback seriously. Unfortunately, despite the positive response, the overall experience means we wouldn't choose to return.

From the manager: Hi Samantha, I appreciate your pragmatic review. We feel it is, however, disappointing that you have reviewed so poorly and taken this to a public forum because the crux of the issues you experienced were due to an exceptional event - the water went off for around 12 hours due to a mains water burst approximately 4 miles from our property. We have not experienced an outage like this and we have been on the farm since the 1960s so this was an extremely rare occurrence.
We feel a kinder approach would have been to acknowledge that we are a small business and that we put our hands up about the communication issue. We of course believe there is a place for poor reviews in this world but this doesn't feel appropriate to mark us down here. If there hadn't have been a water outage we are sure your experience, stay, and rating of the site would have been much higher.
As you have eluded to we did everything we could have done to support guests, which included walking down and verbal providing updates, regular email updates, as well as providing complimentary water. Our guests (and their pets) welfare is our number one priority.
As explained in our email response: we informed every adult staying onsite what was going on but sadly you were off site at these times and unbeknownst to us our emails to you were not going through.
Our reception remained open during the course of the outage with us being on hand to help if needed. You also had our contact number and made a call to us and we explained during this call that water was available to our guests and their pets.
And of course with the water outage going on we were not going to leave the site and our customers alone without support until supply came back.
Having taken the time to explain the lessons learnt and apologise it is particularly painful to receive a negative review for something that stemmed from something out of our control.
We are sorry your stay didn't go as planned.

Liked Very clean and quiet site, staff were great, nice little coffee shop on site which is also licensed. Kids play area is ideal.
Disliked Electric hook ups are spaced quite far apart and our cable didn’t reach, but fair play to the site staff who leant us an extension lead FOC, so all was good.

Liked We had an amazing four days at Gopsall Hall Farm. Brilliant camp pitch with view of the new playground/kids football pitch allowed us to let our kids enjoy themselves and run free. The on-site Elizabeth’s bar was handy for a quick afternoon beer and the pub was superb. The facilities were spotless; washing up area, shower rooms, fresh/waste water areas, etc. It all felt brand new and tidy. The staff and fellow campers were all really welcoming and accommodating. It’s really well located for Twycross Zoo, Bosworth Battlefield. I’d really recommend.

Liked Peaceful, aesthetically pleasing, clean. Has been done to a high standard.
The Campsite was lovely and clean. We had a walk around the pods and tipis which looked amazing. Nice views and lovely location. Facilities were great and modern.
Kids park and small football goals were ok. Free WiFi which was intermittent but as expected on a campsite.
Disliked By the end of the day the facilities had become a mess. No hand soap, grass and mud everywhere, no toilet roll. In the morning they are spotless so maybe need another clean in the afternoon.
The washing up area was dirty and soggy food. Could do with a little bin or something to scrape into.
