  • Adult-only garden site with sheltered and level grass tent pitches
  • Eco-friendly off-grid camping, with owner on site
Little Grange is a rural site set in a quiet garden in the Staffordshire countryside. This location is convenient for all sorts of activities, whether you plan on taking on the rides at Alton Towers (15 minutes' drive) or prefer quieter days out sauntering through the wild ancient woodlands of the Churnet Valley at Hawksmoor (10 minutes). With just a small selection of pitches, all of them level and sheltered, this tent-friendly destination is full of greenery, gorgeous views and wildlife. You're sure of plenty of space at Little Grange, including for outdoor activities like lighting, cooking over and sitting around a campfire. Although it's a small spot, Little Grange has good basic facilities for guests, including access to well-maintained toilets and showers. Wifi is available, well-behaved dogs are welcome and ice packs can be frozen too. For further amenities, you're an easy one-mile walk, cycle or drive away from the small village of Draycott in the Moors. The nearest railway station at Blythe Bridge is just over two miles from site. This campsite is easily accessible from the A50, a road that makes it quick to get from your pitch to central Stoke-on-Trent (15 minutes) or to Uttoxeter (15 minutes). Slightly further afield, you're also well within range of the Peak District National Park (20 minutes).

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Nice flat camping area on a large back lawn, plenty of space as only takes 4 pitches. Very friendly and helpful host, shower available in the hosts' house (£3) with towels provided and use of hairdryer... perfect after a couple of days cycling in the Peak District.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Quiet, secluded and a pleasant back-to-basics rural campsite in the back garden of a private house. Nice level pitch.

Disliked: Site is not well signed. You will struggle to find it if approaching from the north as there is only a little house sign “Little Grange” visible from the south. Background noise from A50.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay at little Grange, the owner was friendly and helpful on arrival, nearest town was about 7 miles to get any essentials you may need (5 minute drive) and a pub just down the road a few minutes walk which was good, you can also buy eggs from next door. It was quiet and peaceful and the lawn is very soft. free supply of wood for use with raised fire/bbq. I would look to stay here again in the future.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: This is a great little place, even though you are camping in someones back garden We loved the quietness of not having kids running around (But please see the dislikes) and the area and the owners are lovely and accomadating. The shower room with toilet is lovely and clean.

Disliked: Im going to try an write this without sounding horrible as I dont want to take away the fact that this is a lovely place to stay. You have to be aware that this is someones house and garden and reveiwing the ad for it, there is a couple of things that you need to be aware off. 1, It has a working farm on both sides so you get woken up during the night by very loud bird alarms and a farmer that likes to honk his tractor horn to move cattle throught the day and very early morning. This didnt put us off as it was nice to hear the country. 2, We didn't see that the toilet was a compost toilet in a shed that you have access to 24/7 if your happy to use it. However as a man I found an issue with it, standing, you had a very small area to aim for and when I sat down to do a number two, my manhood would then rest on the weefresh thing that everyone wees on, so I have to put loads of loo roll down first. 3, There is nowhere on the ad that says they charge you for using the shower and that it only available along with the normal toilet in two time periods during the day, early morning or evening. £3 per person, but this didnt put us off. Question is, would we return, well yes, as I said this is a lovely place and the owners are lovely.
