Liked: Great communication and customer service. The team; Paul, David and Sharon are nothing short of fantastic hosts (their catering team too)!
We requested a nice corner pitch and we got that plus more. Pitch sizes are very generous. We were that impressed our parents came up to stay the following night.
Quaint, unique and truly beautiful around the site. The facilities are tucked away in almost a secret little woodland all lit up with fairy lights. It had a magical feel about it.
It even has a little information shed with a good selection of books that you can read whilst sitting in the sunshine.
We stayed in our motorhomes however would not have been disappointed with the bell tents and wig-wam style tents that we had a nosey in.
Toilets and showers were always spotless, large shower cubicles where you can actually shower and change without getting your clothes wet.
Washing up area was immaculate and had more facilities than you would expect (for free) at a campsite; use of a fridge / freezer, kettle and microwave.
The pizza on a Friday night and curry on a Saturday night tasted amazing. The catering team were friendly and even came to sit and have a drink with us once they had packed up.
Huge thanks to Sharon, David and Paul for being the best hosts we have experienced in a long time. We will 100% return...... soon! :D
Disliked: That we had to go home! Absolutely nothing to dislike about Springfields.
If I had one tiny criticism it would be the price for the dogs a little more than we would expect to pay but well worth it overall for the so many likeable points.

From the manager: What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at Springfields. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your corner pitch and found the size generous. We're especially thrilled that you loved the "quaint, unique, and truly beautiful" atmosphere of the site and the magical feel of our woodland facilities. The fairy lights definitely add a touch of enchantment!
It's fantastic to know you appreciated the little touches like our information shed with books – perfect for a sunny afternoon read. We're glad you got a peek at our bell tents and star tents too!
Keeping our facilities spotless is a top priority, so your comments about the toilets, showers, and washing-up area are much appreciated. We aim to provide those extra conveniences like the fridge/freezer, kettle, and microwave to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We're so pleased you enjoyed our Friday pizza and Saturday curry nights! Workshop Foodi Kitchen are always happy to connect with our guests, and it sounds like you had a lovely time with them.
A huge thank you for your kind words about Sharon, David, and Paul. We're already looking forward to welcoming you back to Springfields very soon!
Regarding the price for dogs, we appreciate your feedback. It will be taken on board when we review our pricing at the end of the year. However, we're glad you felt it was worthwhile overall for the many positives Springfields offers.
We can't wait to see you again!

Liked: Friendly smaller site with good views over the countryside from many pitches. The managers keep the site clean and in good condition. There's a space in the middle for children to play.
Disliked: Dislike would be too strong but the toilet/shower facilities are a bit rustic - so not very warm when the temperature drops. (They are clean though!)

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely feedback! We're so pleased you enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, the views, the cleanliness, and the children's play area. We appreciate your comments about the toilet/shower facilities. We're glad you found them clean, and we'll definitely take your feedback about the temperature into consideration. It was a shame that your stay coincided with a cold snap in temperatures. We hope to welcome you back to the site again soon!

Liked: The campsite is clean and tidy, the views are spectacular, the staff are lovely making sure you have everything you need, walking round and talking to you made us feel very welcome. The pitches are huge which you can park your caravan/Motorhome or pitch your tent which ever way you want to get the best views.
Good play area for children. Even though you are not far away from local shops or stoke itself, sitting there watching the views you could be in the middle of nowhere it’s so peaceful, time went so slow which was perfect. Will definitely be back.
No wifi but the signal was perfect.

From the manager: That's fantastic to hear! We're so thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us. It's wonderful to know you appreciated the cleanliness, the spectacular views, and the friendliness of our staff. We always aim to make our guests feel welcome and well-cared for, so your comments about our team checking in on you are especially rewarding.
We're also glad you found the pitches spacious and enjoyed the flexibility to pitch how you wanted, so you could take in the scenery. It's great that the children's play area was a hit too!
You've perfectly captured the peaceful atmosphere here – it's lovely to hear you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere while still having the convenience of nearby amenities. We agree, time does seem to slow down here, which is just what a relaxing getaway should be!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for saying you'll definitely be back. We look forward to welcoming you again soon!

Small enclosed site - children are close enough for adult supervision from the pitches
Friendly owners who clearly care for the wellbeing of all guests. Ensure guests adhere to the no music after 10.30 etc
The pizza van that came on the Friday was very convenient. By the time we unpacked and set up, it was fairly late to cook so ordering the pizzas onsite was perfect. They also cater on Saturdays but we walked to the nearby pub for the evening meal.
Local pub was walkable (along a country road) even with young children and a group of 19!
There was a fridge which I ended up using as not a frequent camper so not invested in my own plug in cool box yet
Disliked: Seemed to be a queue for showers and washing up area. As there’s only two showers and two washing up sinks.

From the manager: It sounds like you had a lovely stay at Springfields! We're so glad you appreciated the playground and ball area, and that the enclosed nature of the site helped with keeping an eye on the children. We truly care about making sure everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable experience, so it's great that you noticed their dedication to the wellbeing of guests and the quiet hours.
We're also happy the pizza van on Friday was a convenient treat after your arrival. It's great to know you enjoyed the walk to the pub too – even with a large group! And we're pleased the communal fridge came in handy for you.
Thank you for your feedback about the showers and washing-up area. We are aware that these can get busy at peak times with only two of each available. We are always looking for ways to improve the facilities, but its not always possible due to limitations on space.
We hope to welcome you and your family back to Springfields again soon!

Liked: Amazingly kind and considerate staff, well thought-out and presented facilities, big well-serviced pitches, incredible views. Also loved the provision of fire-pits and availability of cheap, good wood for fires.
Disliked: Not really a big problem, but the height restriction was annoying for those who have roofboxes or bikes on top of their vehicles. I am sure there is a good reason for them though.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: It warms our hearts to read such a lovely review! We're so pleased you appreciated our kind staff, the thoughtful design of our facilities, the spacious and well-maintained pitches, and those breathtaking views. We're also delighted you enjoyed the fire pits and the convenience of having affordable firewood available.
Thank you for mentioning the height restriction. You're right, there is a specific reason for it, primarily for the safety and security within the site, ensuring everyone has a comfortable and secure experience. We understand it can be a slight inconvenience for some guests with roof boxes or bike racks, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
We hope to see you again soon for the incredible views and more cosy fires!
