  • Comfortable, self-contained bunkhouse in Shropshire countryside
  • Offa’s Dyke five minutes’ walk; 10 to Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve
  • Double bed, dining area and microwave; pub and shop 10 minutes’ walk
On climbing adventures at Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve (10 minutes’ walk) or walking Offa’s Dyke (the path is five minutes’ stroll away)? Overnight in comfortable, self-contained accommodation in the cosy bunkhouse at High Cottage, 10 minutes’ walk from the village of Pant in Shropshire. Set in a large garden with secure parking, simple accommodation in The Shed stretches to one room with a double bed, comfy sofa, wooden table and chairs. There’s a separate loo and wash basin (but no shower), and you can put together simple meals in the microwave. A kettle is provided for those all-important early-morning brews. On clear nights, gaze up at the stars through the skylight above the bed, and if you can’t sleep, borrow a book from the extensive library. Wake up again to spectacular countryside views – glimpse them through the patio doors or sit out on the terrace on warmer mornings. To top up supplies, there’s a basics store in the village, and if you’re in need of a restorative pint at the end of an active day, there’s a pub there too.

The Shed bunkhouse

Liked: Views were great and furniture was very comfortable. Easily make a cup of tea in the morning. Internet was great. Linen was supplied. Hosts very helpful and welcoming, left us a little treat which was very kind and made our day. When originally making the booking host messaged which was good service and felt more secure.

Disliked: No name of cottage on the details so was tricky to find, so I rang the host and she walked to the bottom of the lane to help us find it. No shower so could only stay 1 night but if there was would definitely stay longer

The Shed bunkhouse

Liked: We loved how cozy the Shed is. They had a bookshelf full of climbing guides which we thoroughly enjoyed looking through. Sheila was super friendly and responsive. The place was nice and clean when we arrived.
