  • Traditional Oxfordshire farm on the edge of the Cotswold Hills
  • Blenheim Palace 20 minutes' drive; central Oxford 40 minutes
  • Well-behaved dogs allowed; half a mile from the village pub
Ash Hill Camping is set on a small 100-acre working farm in Oxfordshire that's home to cattle, sheep and a number of crops. This laidback and simple rural site is on the edge of the village of Swerford and close to the start of the Cotswolds, with a vast network of footpaths all around. The camping pitches here are located on a well-maintained stretch of grassland with views over the hills, livestock and local landscape. In terms of facilities, a separate toilet cubicle attached to the farmhouse is available, as is fresh water. There's on-site waste disposal too, but please note that Ash Hill Camping doesn't have any showers. Dogs are welcome to come and join you on a break at Ash Hill Camping, but please remember that they will need to be kept on leads at all times. Within easy walking distance, there's a pub and restaurant half a mile down the road, plus the earthworks of an ancient castle and lots of popular walks, many of which can be accessed straight from the farm. In the next village over, Hook Norton (five minutes' drive) you can also visit a traditional working steam brewery, three more pubs, a well-stocked general store and a butcher's.
