  • Quiet secluded site close to Bicester
  • The closest site to Bicester Heritage (two miles)
  • Fishing lakes on site
What an excellent Oxfordshire site this is for anglers. And walkers. And quiet English countryside appreciators. For friendly and well-maintained Glebe Leisure Park is in a cracking countryside location on the edges of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire as well as Oxfordshire and has two fishing lakes on site as well as lots of trails all around. Dogs – and their owners – like this place too, as there are long walks and gravelled pathways with dog waste bins set at handy locations, and it's mighty like too that cyclists will like the gentle and short pedal along to local town Bicester... Any amenities you might need are sorted here, such as a loo and shower block with info room about the surrounding area, a toilet and shower facilities for disabled guests, a chemical disposal point, drinking water outlets and a car park.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained and friendly campsite with spacious pitches and excellent facilities, including clean showers and toilets. Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake walks, and secure dog-walking areas. While generally highly rated, some visitors noted minor issues with shower cubicle size, occasional cleanliness lapses, and the availability of Wi-Fi. The site's convenient location for local attractions and events is also frequently praised.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Size of pitch, facilities, grounds & dog walk, location, helpful staff, easy check-in & check out.

Disliked Literally just personal preference but as this site is also used as a stop off the travelling families & couples, there was a lot of coming & going which disrupted the peacefulness of the stay. We would definitely revisit but try & plan our pitch better next time

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Location to Silverstone circuit

Disliked Hardstanding pitches at the front of the site are best described as a gravel car park. Pitches too small, no clear indication of where your pitch starts and stops, unable to put out a sunshade and no chance of a awning. Unable to park car near your caravan.

Pitches 21/22 (where we were pitched) had a rather obnoxious smell of raw sewerage, guessing that the grey waste is tapped in sewerage main? lucky we were out most of the day

Facilities too small for the amount of tenters on site and looked tired.

Elsan point and washing up area adequate

From the manager: Thank you for your review.

Looking at your booking, you had booked a hardstanding pitch, so this would be be hard to pop a peg into solid tarmac.

Pitch 22 is used for RV's, which means its one of our largest pitches. All pitches are 9 x 9m. More than enough room for a caravan, awning and car.

Facilities, We have a whole brand new build in our second field running along side the reception facilities, In total we have 10 showers and 11 toilets.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay, however we only wished you had brought this complaint to our attention at the time during your stay.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Good location for Bicester, Silverstone and surrounding attractions and in a quiet area.

Disliked Small details. Mops or squeegee to be available in facilities blocks so guests who care could clean up after themselves. Hooks on shower cubicles because there is nowhere to hang your kit. A second elsan point and grey waste drain at the newer facilities block. The dish washing sink at the newer facilities block would benefit from a deep clean, although the blame lies with guests who have not cleaned up after using. All of these things would add to what is a good site.

Local attractions

Plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés are in Glebe Leisure's local town of Bicester within a couple of miles, and designer clothes and accessories in the outlet shopping centre Bicester Village. Glebe is the closest site to Bicester Heritage, the first park in the UK for the tender loving restoration care of classic and vintage cars, motorbikes and planes, all on over 345 acres of an old RAF bomber station. The centre's been described as 'a historic motoring fan's idea of heaven' so do speed along there if old engines make your motor hum. Twelve miles from the site is simply smashing Blenheim Palace, given to the first Duke of Marlborough by Charlie 2 and handed down through the Churchill family to reach one Winston some decades back. You really should have a trip... Also within 12 miles are another few British institutions: the dizzying array of arty treasures at the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor; Broughton Castle at Banbury, and days out spectating fast types at Silverstone Circuit.
