Decent Site and would return for a weekend break.
Electric electric grass and earth touring caravan pitch
Liked The site was very quiet in the evenings. The guys running the place were pleasant enough.
Plenty of water points scattered around and no specific pitches, just give others plenty of room even on EHU pitches.
Disliked The toilets and showers were functional but short on space to move around.
Seemed to be no Freeview TV signals and Vodafone signal very poor.

Rabbit poop all over the place. Electric point where I pitched wasn't working. Office closed. Away from everything.

What customers say
Boat Lane campsite offers a peaceful rural setting with spacious pitches and friendly staff. Visitors appreciate the proximity to the River Trent, local pubs, and walking routes. Facilities include a communal kitchen area with useful appliances. However, reviews frequently mention that the toilet and shower blocks are dated and basic, with some guests finding them cramped and in need of an update, particularly during busy periods. While many find it good value, some consider it expensive for the facilities offered.

Entrance gate looked impressive shame it the site didnt follow suit!
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked We did not stay at this site.
Disliked Was asked to let the site know what time we were to arrive which we did. Told to text call when artived at the gate. I text that arrival would be 11.40. We arrived at 11.38. Text the site requesting access code...waited 10 mins then rang the number and had to leave a message that we were at the gate. 20 mins later and still sat at the gate waiting for access code. Started looking for another site when we received the call with the code. We were left waiting nearly 25 mins. Accessed the site and instructed to drive through the large site, passed the lodges and toilet/office block and over a small bridge to a field where there were what looked like storage of caravans of which one had broken window. All old caravans. Recrived a text message with bank trsnsfer details for balance of payment. No one in the office or rhe site. Only one pitch in use with a tent and family of four. We went to the toilet/ shower area and it was disgusting. Unclean, no paper towels so had to use toilet paper to dry our hands. With this we got back in our van and left the site. I left a text message stating the we were not staying at the site.

Disliked The fact there was no-one else on the site.. only the residence who lived there.. we stayed the whole week and apart from a few over night campers we was the only people there.. we had people asking us where they had to pay the fees and code for the gate as there was no office staff there.

Dreadful place.
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Location. And walk to river.
Disliked The non organisid electric hookup points just randomly around the camp. You need extra long cables. The office is a joke scap bits of paper as a list of who is coming.
If you like the sound of julling banjos this is the place for you.
The toilet block is a disaster built in 1970s and never upgraded. Stable doors on showers with 50p plastic curtains.
3 toilets all very small, your knees will touch the door. Showers leak water into the corridor and the floor feels like it will collapse. Chap said they are being upgraded soon. But no sign of any work going on.
Road noise is bad from 6 am.unless you desperate to stay in that area I would go some where else. Sign outside says welcome to Paradise 😂 clapped out American motorhome eyesaw next to gate.

Liked Location close to the River Trent and walks to lovely villages with pubs. Big spacious site with plenty of privacy. Just the job for our kayaking weekend, Licence required. Showers were good and overall facilities good for our needs.
