  • Well-equipped family touring park on the edge of Ingoldmells
  • Direct access to the sandy beach; Fantasy Island 20 minutes' walk
  • Fishing lake on site and family pub opposite with play areas
Ingoldmells is synonymous with family seaside holidays – with its long sandy beach, family attractions and range of places to eat and drink, it’s a top spot for easy holidays on the Lincolnshire coast. Making those stays even easier is Waterside Leisure Park, a well-equipped family-friendly park with direct access to the beach and a location within walking distance of popular attractions including Fantasy Island theme park, Hardy’s Animal Farm and Jump Warriors Trampoline Park. The surrounding Anchor Lane area is full of arcades, fish and chip shops and pubs, and there’s a supermarket a one-minute walk away. Alternatively, just cross the road for a meal or drinks with live entertainment (bingo, karaoke and guest singers) and play areas at Woody's Bar & Restaurant. With a fishing lake and plenty of handy facilities (including a launderette and bathroom block) also on site, you could easily park up here for a good few days and simply roam around on foot with no need to pack everyone into the car again. That said, if you do want to explore further afield, you could hop on the bus to Skegness or take the car to nearby quieter spots like Sutton on Sea or the walking trails of the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape. Topping off the long list of selling points here are 24-hour security to keep you all safe, and a friendly team on hand to offer advice and tips on the local area.

What customers say

Guests praise the campsite's excellent location, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, and appreciate the friendly, helpful staff. Facilities are generally found to be clean, with notable improvements to shower cubicles. However, some visitors experienced issues with pitch access, electricity metering clarity, and the overnight closure of main toilet blocks, with plans for a fob system underway. The on-site pub is managed separately.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Site was clean

Disliked Toilets need some renovation

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found the site clean, although we are sorry that your overall experience was disappointing.

The Tavern pub is managed and operated as a private business, independently from Waterside Leisure Park. We appreciate that the behaviour you experienced in the pub, including the swearing and level of drinking, was not suitable for everyone. We understand there was a celebration taking place at the time, but we apologise for the experience you received.

We also note that you requested a late departure on the Sunday, which we were happy to accommodate. In light of this, we are particularly disappointed to receive a review which rates our customer service at only 4/10.

We do take your comments regarding the toilet facilities on board and will continue to look at improvements.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Closeness to sea front. Nice welcoming staff. Having all the drains etc by the side of your pitch, so no lugging chemical waste miles to empty etc. Good size pitch.

Disliked Although the pitches are large, getting into them is abit tight. My hubby drives a hgv so used to getting in tight spaces. But the couple that arrived just after us struggled and hit the caravan op them. The bins are a long way off. Most sites we have used in the past have bins in each area. These were up by the shower block only and very very full.

From the manager: Thank you Helen for your lovely review and for taking the time to leave us your feedback.

We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay overall, especially the cleanliness of the site, the size of the pitch and how close you were to the seafront. It’s also great to hear you found our team welcoming.

Regarding access onto the pitches were sorry there was a struggle pitching up, however no issues were raised with our team, we would have been happy to assist where we can to ensure a better arrival experience. Indeed, we thought ahead and upgraded your pitch to a fully serviced hardstanding pitch, at no additional cost due to having very soft grass from the heavy rain. We hope this improved your experience with us.

Our bins do regularly get emptied, but at weekends, when the site is particularly busy, it can be challenging to keep them as we would want them. We’ll certainly continue to monitor this and do our best to keep on top of it.

Thanks again for choosing to stay with us. We’re delighted you would visit again and we hope to welcome you back in the future!

Liked The welcome was nice even tho we was late arriving the man was stil waiting for us . Shown to our pitch and left us to our own devices which I like . Great location / onsite club . Straight across is woodys bar for great food and entertainment . Short walk to arcades . Amazing for if you have small kids . And literally a 10 mins walk in other direction is hardys farm / abs brilliant: tractor ride . Baby goats roaming about and a great park and cafe . All in all a fantastic weekend x

Keith P. 1 review

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Absolutely love this site. Starting with location it's a few mins walk to the beach arcade shops and pubs near anchor lane. On site there is a fishing lake. Toilet and shower block. A small club on site. The fully serviced pitch is good with a platform for your moterhome or touring caravan with nearly double the size at the side for awnings. It has a grass verge then the next pitch. Lots of space for what you need and more. There was no charge for bringing the dog too.

Disliked The toilet and shower block is only open from 8am till 8pm so you will need to use your on board toilet overnight. The electric boxes need to have better signs on each box as it took a while to figure out the one I was supposed to use.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much Keith for such a fantastic and detailed review! 😊

We’re really pleased to hear how much you love the site and its location. It’s great to know you enjoyed the spacious fully serviced pitch and found there was plenty of room for your motorhome, caravan, awning and everything else you needed. We’re also glad your four-legged friend was able to enjoy the stay with you at no extra charge.

We’re pleased you made the most of everything that’s close by, including the beach, arcades, shops and pubs, as well as our fishing lake and onsite pub.

Thank you also for your honest feedback regarding the main toilet and shower block opening times, plans are in place for a security fob system so they are accessible 24hrs for our customers. However the disabled toilet and shower and smaller toilets on the top field are available all the time.

Thanks again for choosing to stay with us, Keith. We hope to welcome you both, and your dog, back again in the future!

Local attractions

Ingoldmells alone has plenty to fill a few family days – perhaps your youngsters fancy meeting all the cute residents of Hardy’s Animal Farm, bouncing about at Jump Warriors Trampoline Park or trying all the rides at Fantasy Island theme park. And of course the huge long sandy beach has a nice shallow gradient and heaps of space for paddling, sandcastles, picnics and chomping on fish and chips. You may have also heard of a little place called Skegness? Getting there is nice and easy too – just board a bus at the stop outside the park for the 20-minute journey to get to Natureland Seal Sanctuary, Skegness Aquarium and the pleasure beach. Elsewhere along the coast, Sutton on Sea (20 minutes’ drive) is nice for a quiet beach wander, and Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (25 minutes) is good for birdwatching. Turning your sights inland, there are lots of lovely walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape (15 minutes), more animals at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (half an hour) and heritage sites like Gunby Hall (10 minutes) or Bolingbroke Castle (25 minutes).
