  • Adults-only caravan park at a foodie pub five miles from Skegness
  • Pub and restaurant on site with a large choice of beers and wines
  • Family-friendly atmosphere with high-quality amenities
If you're off for the day to Ingoldmells, how about a huge English – or veggie – breakfast first… before a 15-minute stroll into town? And then another stroll back, for dinner and an evening's relaxing in a family-friendly pub and restaurant? If that all sounds pretty tempting, have an adults-only stay at the friendly and welcoming Kings Head, just west of Ingoldmells in the small town of Addlethorpe. In a peaceful setting near Skegness and with easy access to the sights and attractions of Lincolnshire and beyond, the Kings Head is a family-run pub and restaurant with high standards, a welcoming vibe and homecooked food alongside a wide range of beers and wines. It's a five-minute drive to Ingoldmells from here (although you might opt to walk each day if you're having the full English beforehand) and less than five miles from more beach days at Lincolnshire's most visited seaside town, Skegness. The site shower block has been overhauled to high standards in recent years, and a heating system installed so that all days can start off with a piping hot shower, whatever the weather. And then a mega big breakfast, and then – perhaps – another stroll into Ingoldmells, a drive into Skegness or a potter along the Lincolnshire coast…?

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Wow, what a gem, didn't know what to expect having read some of the reviews? We absolutely loved our stay to a point where we were considering booking on a seasonal pitch, the pitches are massive and fully serviced, the facilities were clean and well presented, unfortunately the bins were overflowing ( probably to the bank holiday rush) but the owner was soon on it with his excavator, we visited the onsite pub most days, for a beer and food which was plentiful and to a very good standard, only a short stroll into Ingoldmells (wow 😬 never seen so many mobility scooters and gold chains! Brilliant) the new fishing pond is a bonus if you're into specimen carp fishing. Will 100% be returning to this site and when we are ready to park up our motorhome and stop touring this one would be a top contender for us, Brilliant.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The site was small and compact, very clean and tidy, nice pub on site and all pitches were fully serviced. Also fishing on site, very nicely set out and looked after. Really a very nice site in the making just disappointing with so many resident outfits.

Disliked There was a lot of resident vans on site some occupied and some not, I would say these made up over 70% of the pitches.

From the manager: hi thank you for your review we appreciate you taking the time to write it. yes we are predominantly a seasonal site, we only have 8 pitches for over night stays. we are sorry you wouldnt recommend us or visit again but at least your only complaint was only about it being a seasonal site.

Liked Nothing

Disliked The noise from the pub, had a kateoke that was so loud and went on until gone midnight, could not hear my tv in the caravan it was so loud, the language from revellers outside was discusting

From the manager: thanks for your review we are sorry you didnt enjoy your stay and wont be recommending us or visiting again. we have no control over people outside and how loud people talk or what they say. the karaoke cuts off at midnight. if you had notified us before you wrote this review i.e when you were here we could of moved you further away. may i suggest that you dont book your van onto a site that has a pub on it with entertainment.
many thanks

Local attractions

Ingoldmells, five minutes’ drive or 15 minutes’ walk from The Kings Head, is probably best known for its theme park Fantasy Island, with indoor and outdoor rides and the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster. Shops, arcades and a huge indoor market open seven days a week are recommended stopoffs in town too. The nearest beach from the pub is a mile away, more sands are at Skegness five miles away, or you could travel a bit further up the coast to other Lincolnshire seaside towns like Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe, and inland for the non-strenuous strolls and cycles of the flat Lincolnshire Wolds. Plenty of family options as well as the seaside resorts are handy if you’re around with the kids, such as the open-air museum of The Village Church Farm, telling the tale of rural British life before mass urbanisation, alongside family activities like chicken feeding, fancy dress, bug hunting and storytelling – do drop in to say hi to Bob the Hornsby steam engine too. Also see nearby Walsingham Abbey, a monastic house and place of pilgrimage until it was destroyed (boo) by bad old Henry VIII in the 16th century. The ruins of the medieval priory still spectacularly stand today; take a guided tour of Walsingham to see all the spots of interest as well as the shrines and pilgrimage history of the village.
