  • Touring park a couple of minutes' drive from Skegness beach
  • Spacious family-friendly site; pets welcome too
  • Secure site with well-equipped touring pitches
Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick. Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal. As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system. The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Having never been to Skegness before, we booked our stay using PitchUp. Booked on Friday night, arrived Saturday lunch time & have just returned home on the Monday.

Check in was so easy, they require a £20 refundable deposit for the gates, the site was quiet & very clean. Facilities are accessed only with the gate card which means that so long as the guests leave them as they find them they remain clean. The staff were very friendly during all contact.

Short walk to nearest pub & Tesco Express & beach is only 10 minutes drive (beware of windburn! turns out you can get sunburnt with mostly cloud cover!)

Each Touring pitch has Water & Electric Hook up on pitch.

Disliked The only down side is that the hardstanding for caravans, has quite sharp stones, that are very easily felt through shoes.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Clean site with friendly staff, site seemed well organised and tidy. Good bus connections with Skegness and further afield. Pub on the main road with large garden and a tesco express next to it with a cash machine too 10 minutes walk.

Disliked Showers not separate so next doors water plashes into yours leaving no dry floor area.

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand. The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre. From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.) Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.
