  • Touring park a couple of minutes' drive from Skegness beach
  • Spacious family-friendly site; pets welcome too
  • Secure site with well-equipped touring pitches
Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick. Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal. As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system. The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Size of the pitch, ease of check-in. Toilet/washing facilities were quite new and kept in reasonable condition and there was always toilet roll!

Disliked Road noise was constant but you get used to it as background noise.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Good playpark. Good toilets, showers (well laid out cubicle and no extra charge) and pot washing area. Good price. Great proximity to Skegness and a local pub was walkable. Level pitches.

Disliked Camping for tents felt a bit like an afterthought - the area wasn’t well laid out and it the furthest away you could be from the play park and reception. Road nearby was busy and quite noisy, but more noticeable in day time.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Key Card for the barrier has no restrictions, you can come and go as you please.
Shower water was hot.

Disliked On arrival the pitch was not marked with a pitch number, after 20 minutes of searching I found the numbers 2 & 3 thrown on the grass together!
The pitches were not clean, littered and remnants of barbecue's and charcoal thrown in the hedge.
The pitches are not marked out either, so I had to squeeze in between two tents that were already up, it's a good job I didn't take my big family tent as there would not have been space for it.
I stayed on pitch number 3, these pitches are right next to a busy road - don't expect to get a good night's sleep without ear plugs!

I arrived on a Monday and left on Thursday - The toilet/shower block appears to have not been cleaned the whole duration of my stay, broken/soiled toilet seats, all the hand soap dispensers were empty on arrival and never filled up.
6 sinks in the gents, only 1 had a plug!
The last entry on the cleaning log in the gents was signed off in 2024!

Only two washing up sinks for the whole of the camping guests with warm water - it just did not get hot at all!

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We have just returned from a couple of nights stay at Skegness Fields, it was a last minute booking. Check in so quick and easy, there is a £20 deposit for your barrier/electric card which you get back on checking out. Spacious level pitches, play area for the little ones. Toilets and all other facilities all in one place, so easy to find. On the busy main road leading into Skegness, so on the doorstep to all the attractions. All in all a great site with everything you need on the doorstep to the coast.

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand. The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre. From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.) Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.
