Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick. Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal. As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system. The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

Our set up myself and five children two dogs

Size of motorhome aprox 23ft long and 10ft wide n still loads of room on pitch

New toilet block
Secure site

Disliked: No hot water or electricity in shower block for the duration of our stay, could’ve been cleaner.
Pitched next to the road despite lots of other free pitches away from the road

Liked: The site was lovely the standing were level and well equipped . The showers were new clean and nicely set out. Reception on arrival and leaving were realy nice.
But we couldnt get a taxi even when we prebooked it didnt turn up. And its a long walk back from town/ the front if you have any mobility issues. So we only stayed one night as couldnt risk having to walk it again.

Disliked: A fair way from town/the front and Skeggy's taxi offering is rubbish. We couldnt get one at 1300 on the Saturday so took a slow walk. Its a long walk & I have some mobility issues so decided to prebook to go back. Only it never turned up and none of the other taxi companies even answer the phone after 10pm so had to walk again. So I say you need transport (we were in a motorhome) or be fit enough for probably 20 to 30 min bisk walk for a fit person for the distance you need to get to anywhere.

Friendly staff at reception and lots of information about what's happening around the local area.
Perfect for any type of camping, motorhome or caravan.
Nice quiet campsite and felt safe.
Toilet and shower facilities were modern and impeccable!
30 minutes walk into skegness center.
Excellent value for money.

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand. The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre. From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.) Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
