What customers say

This adults-only site is frequently praised for its peaceful and quiet atmosphere, clean and well-maintained facilities, and friendly, helpful staff. Many visitors highlight the excellent fishing opportunities and beautiful lake views. While the facilities are generally considered clean, some reviewers noted they are dated and could benefit from an upgrade, particularly regarding shower shelving and lighting. A small number of guests experienced issues with pitch location, road noise, and a lack of certain amenities like pot washing. Despite minor criticisms, the majority of reviews indicate a positive experience with many planning to return.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (lake view)

Liked Reception was able to book us in a day early even though it was us who had a booking mistake and got our holiday dates incorrect. This was so helpful ! LIked the littel pond and generaly area which was ideal for walking our little dog !; also very quiet but this might have been to do with ow season booking dates.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (lake view)

Liked Pitch cleanliness, slightly dated but very clean toilet facilities. Site is a nice distance away from Skegness but easy enough to get to with nearby garden centre,Poppy’s cafe and excellent restaurant at the Fleece in Burgh la marsh. Abundant very friendly wildlife on site. Fishing was ok but due to very low water levels it didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Disliked Although it is nice to have very friendly wildlife ie ducks geese and squirrels,as with a lot of sites the muck off them gets walked into the van

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very friendly staff, if you are looking for quite and peaceful surroundings this is a excellent choice. The toilets are showers were very clean, and access could only be made using the keys provided. [£20 returnable deposit for keys].

Disliked The outside appearance/ maintenance of the toilet and shower block is in urgent need of attention it gives a wrong first impression which the site does not deserve.

Local attractions

Most folk coming to these parts angle to get to Skegness first, the famed seaside town with sandy beach, pier, many amusements and evening entertainment in clubs, bars and the Embassy Theatre. The Natureland Seal Santuary is in town too if you/the kids want to see some local nature; to see seals in the wild, the Donna Nook Natural Nature Reserve covers over six miles of salt marsh coastline between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet. Around Skegness are Ingoldmells, most visited for its theme park Fantasy Island and its big indoor market, open seven days a week; the beach huts and sands of Sutton on Sea are to the north, and there's more of the same, along with another seal sanctuary, at Mablethorpe. Roach Farm Park is also a short drive from the traditional pubs and family-run shops of Lincolnshire town Burgh Le Marsh.
