  • Well-kept site in scenic countryside near Skegness
  • Peaceful but close to seaside amenities
  • Two fishing lakes, friendly family team and well-kept facilities
Off to Skeggy? Make a champion decision to stay in peaceful rest in the countryside between days at the beach, with a stay at The Laurels at Addlethorpe. As a chuffed former guest chuffedly pointed out, the park is the best of both worlds, close enough to Skegness (three miles) to get there without any faff, but far away enough to be away from maddening crowds and any accompanying din. Settle down here to use the site as a base for Skegness, Ingoldmells and the Lincolnshire coast, or just to chill out in peace in the scenic countryside: if you're up for a bit of the latter, you'll probably also like the park's two fully-stocked fishing lakes at which to get contemplative… The park covers 18 acres so there's heaps of space for all, and everything is kept an eye on by the friendly family team which goes out of its way to make sure everyone has a champion stay. Amenities are immaculately kept and include a toilet block with hot showers, a launderette and a drying room.

Liked absolutely enjoyed our stay here at the Laurels super well kept grounds large pitches and very very clean toilet/shower block good dog walking area and about a 25 mins walk to inglemels very quiet site with no road noise 15 min drive to Skegness all in all a fab site but think its more suited for adults only as we didn't see a play area for kids but that said I was not really looking for it overall a excellent camp site and will be returning at some point

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring caravan pitch

Liked Just returned from a few nights break at The Laurels, what an absolute gem of a site. The booking in was so easy, all the site facilities explained on an information sheet and useful numbers, taxis, supermarkets, takeaways etc. The site itself is spotless. The pitches were spacious and level with plenty of room for the caravan, awning and car. Very well situated for a completely relaxing break out in the countryside but Ingoldmells and Skegness are within easy reach of the site. Generally an amazing site that we shall definitely be returning to. An absolute credit to the owners.

Disliked Nothing

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring caravan pitch

Liked Lovely clean site. Big lakes to fish on.

10 minute drive to skegness.

Disliked We were in a tourer. There was only 2 toilets and 2 showers. You had to pay for a shower. I ended up running back to caravan to rinse conditioner off my hair.

There was no washing up facilities.

We were next to a static, ended up turning it around so not facing them.

No shop on site.

Noisy works going on. Sanding, pressure washing. Sometimes I felt like we were next to a work site.

From the manager: Good Evening
I do not often reply to reviews of this nature but feel the need with this one as it gives false information to other guests . We have a total of 20 toilets and 13 shower cubicles spread over 4 blocks and yes we do charge 50p as we pay someone to keep them to a high standard of cleanliness.
We have a Commercial Laundry Room on site which includes hot and cold water and a Belfast sink for pot washing . We have approximately 100 touring pitches and 20 lodges so hardly a lodge takeover at The Laurels !
Your caravan was firstly put on the pitch the incorrect way by yourselves and
which you yourself corrected upon realisation.
It went against Laurels guidelines and risk policy . The pitch being 17m long by 7m wide .
Works going on were general site maintenance between 9.00am and 4pm . The Lake reeds were cut that week which may have caused you to be distracted but much needed for fish welfare .
FREE wifi is for browsing alone but packages to upgrade for downloads are available .

All information was given in the leaflet or the text provided upon arrival

Thank you

Local attractions

The site's local village of Addlethorpe has a café, restaurant, golf course and pub; Ingoldmells has heaps of options at its Fantasy Island theme park, and other seaside towns like Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea are easily reached along the coast. Skegness is the most visited seaside town on the Lincolnshire coast and has a good bit more than its beaches and pier, like its aquarium and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, cinema, theatre and golf courses. The birdwatching of the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve lies to the town's south. Inland, get to the Wolds and the long-distance Viking Way for peaceful wandering, and to market towns like Alford, Horncastle and Louth to bag the best of fresh local produce.
