  • Peaceful working farm site surrounded by Lincolnshire grazing fields
  • Within easy reach of Newark, Lincoln, Grantham and Nottingham
  • Option of ordering full English or continental breakfasts
Huge spacious pitches and open fields await at this back to basics site in rural Lincolnshire, in a handsomely historic location between ancient Lincoln and the old market towns of Sleaford, Newark and Grantham, and within easy reach of the lights and sights of Nottingham. Adjoined to a working farm, this site is in a peaceful spot and secluded setting, surrounded by countryside a short distance from the River Witham. Rectory Farm is shaded by mature trees and has spacious grassy pitches among a field surrounded by hawthorn hedges. Guests are welcome to choose a pitch under the shade of mature trees or out in the open. The site owners give you the option of ordering full English or continental breakfasts, so no need for camping stove faff in the morning if you'd rather get up and out for your days of sightseeing. On the amenities front, toilets, showers and a washing-up area are all available for guests' use. As this site is on a working farm, there'll often be tractors and trailers trundling up and down the farm track during harvest time in August and September until around 9pm.

Willow Tree non-electric grass touring caravan or tent pitch (large)

Liked Really clean and quiet. Neighbours chewing the cud early morning just added to the ambiance. Met the owner Claire who is delightful.
Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

Stile non-electric grass touring caravan or tent pitch (XL)

Liked The Site - beautiful small site on a working farm, with luscious trees, good even ground. Very peaceful with only a little road noise during the day from local traffic. Full of amazing wildlife as well as cows grazing peacefully in the next field.
Facilities - There is an indoor area for washing up with a shower and a toilet. Very clean. Could probably do with an extra shower and toilet as there were 3 of us queuing several times during a week long stay, but because this is a small site, and everyone got friendly, this wasnt a major issue, and gave us campers a chance to chat.
The Owners - Well what a wonderfully lovely owner. Clare was friendly, very warm and welcoming and really is the heart and soul of this delightful gem. She also cooks a very tasty breakfast and holds conversation when she can. Also met a few of the farm lads, who were also polite, full of knowledge about the area, and great to talk to. Clare, her husband and the farm lads added something rather special to our stay, which is why we will return time and time again now.
Location - remote location on the edge of a very lovely looking village, with easy access to vist local and further afield attractions. Temple Bruer is only a short drive away if you are into your Templar history, and Lincoln and Newark Castles are a little further out. If Aviation and Military is your thing, there are plenty of museums and points of interest not far away.
Final thoughts - this is an amazing place to go for real peace and quite. The owners are very genuine and helpful and on hand if and when needed. You cannot smell or hear anything from the farm itself, although you do see and hear tractors and all kinds of big metal mechanical chucks every so often, which is actually really nice. This is the kind of place im nervous about reviewing so honestly, because I dont want it to be so popular that we cant get on, because it really is worth every penny and a real treat.

Disliked Nothing to dislike, loved it!

Electric grass and earth touring pitch

Liked Stunning location on a working farm. Weekend was very quiet and peaceful with a great friendly host.
Loved seeing the cows in the field.
Really easy to set up on a spacious pitch and the other pitches were nicely spaced out. Great shower, toilet and washing facilities.
Would definitely come back and stay again.
