Looking to relax and this was perfect
Electric grass and earth touring pitch
Liked We made a late decision to stay in the van and found Rectory Farm.
We wanted to escape the hustle and bustle for the weekend.
This place was perfect. Kids kicked a ball, threw a frisbee and ran around. How it should be. It’s a working farm, we heard the tractors a couple of times. The cows in the field next door even kept the noise down.
This campsite does exactly what was offered on the site. Has basic facilities, but shower and toilet were more than adequate.
We all loved it and will go back again.
We all left feeling chilled and feeling fresh before the return to our hectic lives.
The owners were so friendly and informative. That makes the difference.

Crabapple non-electric grass pitch
Liked Excellent location, flat grass pitch, beautiful area, quiet, friendly hosts, optional cooked or continental breakfast.
Disliked Only one unisex toilet and shower, insufficient at busy times. There were around 10 people staying when we were there.

Liked Really clean and quiet. Neighbours chewing the cud early morning just added to the ambiance. Met the owner Claire who is delightful.
Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

Ideal for overnighting when travelling further afield
Crabapple non-electric grass pitch
Liked Small quiet site, clean toilets and showers and good mobile 5g signal (EE). Was able to pitch tent in the shade of one of many trees. I used this site as overnighters to and from a site further afield and it provided all i needed for a short stay. If you need more, Newark is just down the road. Not far down the road is an Aircraft museum, which is well worth a visit if you arrive early. According to Pitchup, there are 3 fields, though they weren’t marked and you could pitch wherever you liked (maybe this was because it wasn’t peak season).
