With woodland walks, cycle routes and fishing lakes all around, Grove Farm Camping makes a lovely rural retreat for visitors looking out for some peace and quiet in the Lincolnshire countryside. This small-scale site is part of a family-run equestrian farm just outside the village of Norton Disney – so as well as having peaceful and pretty surroundings you’ll also have horses grazing in the neighbouring fields (a lovely sight to wake up to, surely…). The farm is just next to Stapleford Woods, with access directly from the pitches for those who fancy a stroll through the forest or taking their dog for a walk in a safe setting. The emphasis here is on peace and relaxation, so the facilities have been kept on the low-key side – you’ll have access to a drinking water supply, a chemical disposal point and wooden bathroom cabins with flushing toilets and hot showers. Campfires and barbecues are permitted, and there are picnic tables where you can serve up your meals. The village’s popular traditional pub is a little over a mile away by car or on foot for those times when you fancy a pub meal or a local pint. Tucked away in the countryside this site may be, but it’s not cut off in any way – Newark-on-Trent is about 10 minutes’ drive away and Lincoln 25 minutes, so you won’t be short of shops and attractions. The farm is also easily accessed from the A1 and A46 so it’s a handy location for those seeking a stopover near to one of those main roads.

  • This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.

Occupancy

  • Bookings must not consist of more than 3 different households.
  • Group bookings of 4 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Liked This is a back to basics site hidden away in the lovely Lincolnshire countryside. Booking was super easy and great communication from the owner. We really enjoyed our two night stay here, very peaceful and we had everything we needed from toilet, shower and washing up facilities to a lovely big pitch with nice space between campers. We met the charming lady owner who came to say hello and spent time chatting and made us feel like our stay was really valued. Great walks direct from the pitch and a very close walk or drive to a local pub and a fairly close drive to local shops.

Disliked Nothing that we disliked at all, the toilet and shower aren't massive but they were more than adequate for our needs.

Liked Nice camping and lovely and peaceful but a long way from anywhere so you need transport of some kind or a taxi.

Showers and toilet were clean but a bit cramped but that’s what’s expected on a green site really enjoyed the stay it was nice and quiet.

Disliked Nothing really enjoyed the peace and quiet
