  • Small and peaceful site on a Lincolnshire equestrian farm
  • A 20-minute drive to Lincolnshire Showground; central Lincoln 25 mins
  • Direct access to walks in Stapleford Woods; dogs welcome
With woodland walks, cycle routes and fishing lakes all around, Grove Farm Camping makes a lovely rural retreat for visitors looking out for some peace and quiet in the Lincolnshire countryside. This small-scale site is part of a family-run equestrian farm just outside the village of Norton Disney – so as well as having peaceful and pretty surroundings you’ll also have horses grazing in the neighbouring fields (a lovely sight to wake up to, surely…). The farm is just next to Stapleford Woods, with access directly from the pitches for those who fancy a stroll through the forest or taking their dog for a walk in a safe setting. The emphasis here is on peace and relaxation, so the facilities have been kept on the low-key side – you’ll have access to a drinking water supply, a chemical disposal point and wooden bathroom cabins with flushing toilets and hot showers. Campfires and barbecues are permitted, and there are picnic tables where you can serve up your meals. The village’s popular traditional pub is a little over a mile away by car or on foot for those times when you fancy a pub meal or a local pint. Tucked away in the countryside this site may be, but it’s not cut off in any way – Newark-on-Trent is about 10 minutes’ drive away and Lincoln 25 minutes, so you won’t be short of shops and attractions. The farm is also easily accessed from the A1 and A46 so it’s a handy location for those seeking a stopover near to one of those main roads.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely, quiet and peaceful site, not too big and busy. Facilities spotless and always maintained. Big pitches with plenty of room in between others and a picnic bench which was a nice touch. Lovely owners that came to greet us and helped us when we had a problem with our car. Menus for food and drink if needed. Will definitely be visiting again.

Electric grass pitch (premium)

Liked This place was just what we wanted. Quiet and the pitches are very spacious. The pitches have picnic tables which made such a difference. The setting is good and the woods which are really close by are lovely. Perfect for a nice leisurely walk, cool for the dog so he was happy. Owner friendly and helpful.

Disliked There is however just one toilet and one shower which could be a pain if the site is full.

Electric grass pitch

Liked As advertised, peaceful, quiet, great location, large pitches separated with longer grass feels like you're not on top of each other. Basic amenities but does the job just fine for the size of the site. Added extras like washing up equipment made our stay easy packing light we appreciated it. Very helpful lovely owners with local knowledge of walks. Checked in with us but also leave you alone to enjoy the stay we like that. A returning visit so shows we liked it just as much the first time ❤️

Electric grass pitch

Liked Friendly campsite owners really helpful, my boys thought the toilets and shower facility's were fancy (which for camping they're fancier than you'd expect), there was toilet roll and washing shower products and washing up liquid provided, the pitch size was a good big size (we didn't even end up using all of our pitch size), the owners even tried helping me put in my dog ground stakes as the ground was really dry and hard due to the heatwave we were having. The shower is really nice good power and temperature (once you get the pressure sorted the temperature evens out) not much space for drying and dressing though.

Disliked The closest aldi was about 25mins drive away, the road nearby is a 60mph road yet it is only wide enough for 1½ cars so when 2 cars are passing 1 has to pull to the side... during the day cars go by at a good slow speed but on an evening they get quite speedy which is not very nice when out walking especially with kids and dogs
