  • Small and peaceful site on a Lincolnshire equestrian farm
  • A 20-minute drive to Lincolnshire Showground; central Lincoln 25 mins
  • Direct access to walks in Stapleford Woods; dogs welcome
With woodland walks, cycle routes and fishing lakes all around, Grove Farm Camping makes a lovely rural retreat for visitors looking out for some peace and quiet in the Lincolnshire countryside. This small-scale site is part of a family-run equestrian farm just outside the village of Norton Disney – so as well as having peaceful and pretty surroundings you’ll also have horses grazing in the neighbouring fields (a lovely sight to wake up to, surely…). The farm is just next to Stapleford Woods, with access directly from the pitches for those who fancy a stroll through the forest or taking their dog for a walk in a safe setting. The emphasis here is on peace and relaxation, so the facilities have been kept on the low-key side – you’ll have access to a drinking water supply, a chemical disposal point and wooden bathroom cabins with flushing toilets and hot showers. Campfires and barbecues are permitted, and there are picnic tables where you can serve up your meals. The village’s popular traditional pub is a little over a mile away by car or on foot for those times when you fancy a pub meal or a local pint. Tucked away in the countryside this site may be, but it’s not cut off in any way – Newark-on-Trent is about 10 minutes’ drive away and Lincoln 25 minutes, so you won’t be short of shops and attractions. The farm is also easily accessed from the A1 and A46 so it’s a handy location for those seeking a stopover near to one of those main roads.

What customers say

This small, tidy rural spot has ample, lovely pitches. Owners are a ripper, it's peaceful and handy. Basic but clean facilities. Toilets/showers a bit squishy. Quarry noise was noted but didn't ruin the chill vibes.

Liked Lovely little rural overnight stop ideal half way from Northumberland to Kent. Sat nav with the post code supplied took us right to the gate. Electric and water handy.

Disliked Shower - one wooden cabin with a cubicle in it - far too small and inaccessible for a big boy like me.

Liked It was a small site though with large spacious pitches, and we liked the patches of long grass between the pitches. The owner was helpful and friendly. Shower and toilet facilities very clean though a bit cramped. Slight drawback, audible noise from the nearby quarry in the morning though beyond the campsites control and we would say that it was still quite peaceful. Otherwise we loved it and would go back. No hesitation in recommending this site.

Liked Nice flat camping pitch on a quiet site.

Disliked Toilet and shower facilities nice and clean but tiny, no room to change or get dry in the shower shed and a pretty tight squeeze to use the toilet!!!

From the manager: Thankyou for staying with us and taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that our campsite wasn't quite what you were expecting.

Our site is intentionally designed as a simple back-to-nature camping experience with basic wooden facilities that have a minimal impact on the landscape and allow guests to enjoy the peace and outdoor environment. We understand that some campers prefer sites with more extensive amenities and our rustic approach may not suit everyone.

To help guests make an informed choice before booking, we aim to provide an accurate description of the facilities available, and photos of both the toilet and shower facilities are included in our listing and on our website. We encourage all guests to review these details to ensure the campsite matches the type of experience they are looking for. We have an enquiries email and telephone number and are always happy to answer questions about the site and it's facilities before a booking is made.

We are continually investing in and improving the site and facilities wherever possible. As a very small, independent campsite, these improvements take time. Guest feedback plays an important role in helping us prioritise future developments. We genuinely appreciate all constructive comments and use them to enhance the experience of future visitors.

We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your future camping adventures.
