What customers say
This is a quiet, basic campsite with spacious, flat pitches and generally clean facilities. The location is praised for its convenience to local towns and the coast. Many guests found the staff friendly and welcoming. However, some reviews mention ongoing construction, outdated facilities, and occasional issues with cleanliness or noise from other campers. The site appears to be transitioning towards luxury lodges, with changes affecting the original camping experience.

A nice stay for the price
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Big pitches local walks, cleethorpes is a short car journey away. The shower was good also.
Disliked The facilities were okay, but there were no labeled drinking water taps (that i saw) and the men's toilets had seen better days.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Easy to book and check in, plenty of space, great for a night away. Nice and quiet too! Shops locally make it easy to get the food and bits you need! Would stay again.

Lovely relaxed site close to a beach
Non-electric grass touring caravan pitch
Liked We were a bit sceptical about booking this site because of some of the reviews saying it was noisy and people felt intimated by people that lived on the site, but it was a last minute booking for bank holiday weekend and there wasn't a lot of choice left so we went for it and we are so pleased we did. It was a lovely quiet site 20 minutes from Cleethorpes which we love, and it was very family and dog friendly, relaxed and restful. There aren't loads of showers & toilets but enough for everyone there on a busy bank holiday weekend and clean enough. We had a lovely weekend and will definitely be back.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Nothing about it is to like
Disliked Worst place I have ever stayed, no signs of a noise policy
Loud music and loud disrespectful adults keeping young kids up til early hours
Toilets were filthy,
Complete waste of a holiday and a waste of money

a nice site!
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Flat tidy pitches with parking, friendly staff, ability to have a fire, great location, the walk around the lake. Peaceful, even on a bank holiday weekend.
Having seen some harsh reviews we were pleasantly surprised, we've definitely stayed in worse. It's not filthy at all, we all even managed decent showers too, the staff did well to keep on top of cleanliness. Its really not that bad!
Disliked If being picky a tap nearer the campers pitch would've been handy, another sink plug in the washing up area so 2 could use it at once.

Good location. Nice owner. Good sized…
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Good location. Nice owner. Good sized pitch but also wasn’t full so could be why. Can’t complain though.
Was worried electric wouldn’t reach but luckily our cable was long enough! Our friends had to use an extension though - really depends on your cable length and where you’re pitched up.
Disliked Toilets and showers could do with an update. Seems they’re building a new reception but probably be better to upgrade those instead. On our final morning the hot water ran out too! Luckily we were done by then but many people weren’t.
Some scruffy looking caravans on the site. Seemed inhabited but on the pitches?

Dirty toilets and showers. Toilet roll all over the floor.
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Pitches were fairly big and the ground was flat.
Disliked The toilets and shower area were absolutely filthy.
We were pitched at the bottom end of the field so had a long walk to go to the toilet.
There were people pitched in two blue tents that's were shouting and swearing until gone 11pm.
People were driving round and reving cars and motor bikes after 11pm.
There are people who actually live on the site that were quite intimidating at times.
Fishing is no longer allowed by campers which was a dampener on our stay.
I would not return nor recommend the site to anyone. It appears that the lodges are more of interest than the actual camp site.
There are cheaper cleaner sites close by.
