  • Peaceful adults-only site on the edge of Chapel St Leonards
  • A 10-minute drive to Fantasy Island and 20 minutes to Skegness
  • Wide, sandy and dog-friendly Chapel Point beach 10 minutes' walk away
Pack your beach gear if you’re heading to Rosa Campsite – this adults-only site is a mere few minutes’ amble from a long, sandy beach. There’s a peaceful rural vibe here, with acres of farmland views to gaze out over, but it's all only 20 minutes' walk from the pubs, cafés and small supermarket in the coastal village of Chapel St Leonards. The site is also only a 10-minute walk from the dog-friendly Chapel Point beach. Vicky and Shaun have set up their site in a quiet spot and take pride in the friendly and helpful welcome they offer to guests. Pitches are in a large grass field that’s pleasingly flat, with plenty of space for barbecues. Showers are close by for convenient riddance of accumulated sand; they’re free to use and kept mightily clean. A washing-up area and recycling facility are also provided to keep the place spick and span. If your walking boots want a bit of action, it'll take you 25 minutes to drive over to the Lincolnshire Wolds, where you can hit the trails through woodland and grassland to see the wildlife now abundant in the abandoned chalk pits.

Liked Lovely peaceful site. Facilities basic but perfectly adequate. Short walk to a beautiful beach and North Sea Observatory with a cafe serving very tasty meals while enjoying a view of the sea.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Had a lovely stay for 5 nights. Weather was very good. 3 toilets and 2 showers on site but it was enough for the amount of people staying. Always clean and Shawn was very helpful. Would recommend as a pop up site. Beach about 10min walk but it does have a car park. If you want to catch a bus into skegness or Mablethorpe you have about a 15 min walk to the bus stop and there is a shop near the bus stop.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked Nothing to do dislike. Nice and simple but equally everything you need. The owner (think he said Shaun) met us on arrival and explained the site but then left us to it. 10 min walk to the beach. All in all a lovely few days away.

Electric grass pitch

Liked A simple, back-to-basics campsite in a good location, just a 10-minute walk from the beach. Very quiet and peaceful, which made for a relaxing stay. The only downside was the mess left in the bathroom by another guest, which was disappointing. Otherwise, a lovely, straightforward campsite.

Liked Everything... the place is spotless, quiet and well run. Shawn (the owner) is a great bloke who will always point you in the right direction for anything. And the best bit NO SCREAMING KIDS running around all over the place.

Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked The peace and quiet. It’s not a huge site, about 16 pitches and it’s adults only. The pitches were flat and decent size.
The owners were welcoming & informative.
There was every you needed, basic but adequate.
The sunsets are stunning, they really are beautiful

Disliked It’s not really a dislike, the toilet and showers facilities although clean and well maintenances I think maybe a couple more would be beneficial. I think 3 toilets and 2 showers is a bit low.
That said I know the owner now has planning permission to build toilet and showers facilities.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The location ,the peace and quiet ,and the adults only site ..really appreciated we got offered a larger pitch ..its a walk to local pubs ,food ect ,not for everyone, ..though we would stay again as we know what too expect .

Disliked Water pressure for showers was a bit lacking (though water was hot ) and flushing the loos took a couple of attempts and that was following the 3 Ps...elsan point would benefit from a clean up ...

Local attractions

Beachy options of all flavours are within easy reach if you’d like to expand your paddling horizons beyond Chapel Point. Drive for 10 minutes to reach the natural dunes of Anderby Creek or head the other way for all sorts of amusements in Ingoldmells. The seaside resort of Skegness is about 20 minutes away; traditional fun here includes amusement arcades. Skegness Aquarium has a fab collection of marine animals including sharks, octopus and colourful clown fish, and animal fans should take a detour to Skegness's Natureland Seal Sanctuary too. Gunby Hall, a National Trust property 20 minutes away, makes another great day out: take the house tour before wandering round the walled gardens and wildflower areas of the estate and having a genteel game of croquet.
