  • Peaceful adults-only site on the edge of Chapel St Leonards
  • A 10-minute drive to Fantasy Island and 20 minutes to Skegness
  • Wide, sandy and dog-friendly Chapel Point beach 10 minutes' walk away
Pack your beach gear if you’re heading to Rosa Campsite – this adults-only site is a mere few minutes’ amble from a long, sandy beach. There’s a peaceful rural vibe here, with acres of farmland views to gaze out over, but it's all only 20 minutes' walk from the pubs, cafés and small supermarket in the coastal village of Chapel St Leonards. The site is also only a 10-minute walk from the dog-friendly Chapel Point beach. Vicky and Shaun have set up their site in a quiet spot and take pride in the friendly and helpful welcome they offer to guests. Pitches are in a large grass field that’s pleasingly flat, with plenty of space for barbecues. Showers are close by for convenient riddance of accumulated sand; they’re free to use and kept mightily clean. A washing-up area and recycling facility are also provided to keep the place spick and span. If your walking boots want a bit of action, it'll take you 25 minutes to drive over to the Lincolnshire Wolds, where you can hit the trails through woodland and grassland to see the wildlife now abundant in the abandoned chalk pits.

Powered grass campsite

Liked: Extremely peaceful, quiet, small site within 10 minutes walk to miles of sandy beach. Dog friendly, basic site where you can relax and unwind. Friendly owner with lots of knowledge of surrounding area. Pitches are quite large and pretty flat.

Disliked: Only minor really but the shower wasn't tall enough for my 6ft partner and he did hit his head on a beam into the chemical waste point. Nothing major though, just something to be aware of and is more than manageable. Another point to note is to bring your own toilet roll (perhaps this could be added to the info when booking).

Powered grass campsite

Liked: Super quiet location
Neatly cut grass and ample pitch sizes
Small site with 7 electric pitches.
Clean facilities
10 minute walk to the beach.

Disliked: Nothing major here, could do with a few more hooks in the shower room along with a shelf for your shower gel.
Could do with a small food waste bin at the washing up station.

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked: Beautiful location, you feel like you're away from it all, though just a short walk to the main amenities. Also nice and close to the beach. Facilities were clean and shower was nice and hot. Nice to know this site is now adults only, as we've always planned our stays around avoiding school holidays in the past.

Powered grass campsite

Liked: Everything from the warm and friendly welcome from Shaun through to the peace and quiet of the site and the stunning views at sunset. Toilets and shower are so clean and look freshly updated. Some of the nicest toilets on a site.

Disliked: I wouldnt say i disliked but would be helpful. A hand rail or support in the toilet to help getting up for disabilities.

Liked: I enjoyed the peace and quiet and big skies on this lovely little site. Just a short walk to the beach through the caravan park next door. Friendly welcome on arrival but otherwise left to my own devices. The facilities were minimal but perfectly good. If I find myself in this part of the world again I will definitely come back.

Disliked: Nothing it was all good.

Local attractions

Beachy options of all flavours are within easy reach if you’d like to expand your paddling horizons beyond Chapel Point. Drive for 10 minutes to reach the natural dunes of Anderby Creek or head the other way for all sorts of amusements in Ingoldmells. The seaside resort of Skegness is about 20 minutes away; traditional fun here includes amusement arcades. Skegness Aquarium has a fab collection of marine animals including sharks, octopus and colourful clown fish, and animal fans should take a detour to Skegness's Natureland Seal Sanctuary too. Gunby Hall, a National Trust property 20 minutes away, makes another great day out: take the house tour before wandering round the walled gardens and wildflower areas of the estate and having a genteel game of croquet.
