What customers say
This campsite offers spacious pitches and a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views. Visitors consistently praise the excellent, clean, and well-maintained toilet and shower facilities, often described as modern and warm. The owners are frequently highlighted as exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A small on-site shop for essentials is a convenient addition. While most found the site quiet, some noted occasional noise from a nearby country lane, particularly if pitched close to it.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Beautiful countryside, easy to find, lots to do in the area including easy walking and cycling routes with direct access from the camp. Facilities clean and tidy, lovely shower.
Disliked Couldn't get on allocated pitch as large motorhome had spread out over the pitch so selected a vacant one and that was fine. Paid for firewood in advance but couldn't find out how to get it?

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked The location, it was really scenic. The showers and toilets are new. A bit quirky and rustic themed which fitted perfectly with the surrounding. The honesty shop was a nice touch. Being in a working riding school it was lovely to see the horses, and honestly the location is beautiful. The Elsan point was lovely and clean and easily accessible. Couldn’t fault the facilities, especially for the price.
Disliked I think they’d crammed people in for the bank holiday weekend. Every pitch was allocated, but there wasn’t enough space so people had to put up tents on spaces that weren’t allotted as pitches. We have a 7.5 x 2.8m motorhome, and while pitch up states the pitch size will be a max of 7.5m wide x 10.5m long, the actual size of our plot was just under 5m wide. Luckily, the person that should have been next to us was one of the people who had to pitch their tent on a random piece of grass, so the next pitch was empty. But, had the pitch been filled, we wouldn’t have been able to open our awning (which it states is included in the price). We paid extra for our tow car, and we struggled to find anywhere to park it.
There were groups of people who had crammed multiple tents onto single pitches bringing several vehicles with them. They were playing music into the early hours of the morning. We were really disappointed as the reviews had said how lovely and quiet it was, but our experience was quite the contrary.
The refuse bins were not substantial enough for how busy the site was. We arrived on Saturday morning, and by the evening the 2 small wheels bins and small recycling box were already overflowing. By the time we left on the Monday morning, there were rubbish bags piled up all around the bins.
I understand that the owners were away on holiday, so had left the site in someone else’s hands. I’m unsure if the issues we had were down to poor supervision, over booking, lack of visitor vetting or a combo of everything.
It hasn’t put us off coming back, as I think it was just a perfect storm of circumstances. But it wasnt what we thought it was going to be for that weekend.

Loved the views. Our first off…
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Loved the views. Our first off grid stay in our motor home. Had a great weekend. Staff were helpful when the toilet paper ran out. The honesty shop is well stocked and loved the games you could take play with and take back. We would could back to stay.
Disliked Only thing I would say is to add quiet times to the booking. Sorry if I missed this on the page.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful views
Disliked The walk to the toilet is so far if you’re towards the end of the pitch.
They have squeezed too many pitches
Onto the site which feels very greedy of them. It was overcrowded on a busy weekend.
On our second night there was a huge group of 30 or so people who shared just 3 pitches (how this was allowed I have no idea). They were loud and obnoxious and played loud music from their arrival until 1am then were up chatting loudly until 3am!
To make matters worse this meant that there were two toilets for about 100 people! Insanity!!
We (and at least two other families) left a day early because of the state of the facilities and the loud, obnoxious group
