  • Spacious riverside campsite on a 250-acre hop and apple farm
  • A 20-minute drive from Tenbury Wells; half an hour from Worcester
  • On-site brewery for beers and fresh wood-fired pizzas; fishing lake
There's a lot of talk these days about cutting down your food miles and eating local, but what about drinking local too? If you're vigorously nodding your head by this point, have a look at Orleton Court Farm, a 250-acre hop and apple farm in the Worcestershire countryside where fine ales and lagers are brewed on site. If you like a chilled pint, stays at this spacious farm site will likely involve lengthy spells hanging out around the tap room (open from Friday to Sunday), where you can sample drinks made from the hops grown in the neighbouring fields. This foodie spot also does one of the meanest pizzas in the Teme Valley, with a wood-fired oven on hand to make every order extra crispy. Every Friday and Saturday night from 6pm to 8pm, there's also live music. Orleton Court Farm has more leisure facilities like an angling lake that's open to guests all day, every day (you can't catch your dinner here, though, as it's coarse fishing only). Any other points worth noting? Well, there's the web access, dog-friendly site rules and the fact that you're just over a mile and a half from the nearest butcher's if it’s barbecue weather. Mill Farm Country Retail Park, where there's a farm shop, is also two miles away by road (it’s slightly closer if you're on foot and opt for the shortcut by the river).

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: The tap house, live music and wood fired pizza was spot on. The views from our spot were beautiful across the meadows with the sound of a tranquil river flowing past.

Disliked: Shower facilities and toilet in the trailer were not good. Blocked toilet with waste and tissue and only 1 shower working out of 3. The area near to the hard standing was untidy with general waste. Sink and a foot stool? Just needs a general tidy. Hard standing only due to the inclement recent weather, unfortunately that made up park on top of each other, saying that, it was a quiet night.

Liked: Wow! Beautiful location, warm friendly hosts, great tap room on site serving the farms own beers (plus usual spirits/wine etc) along with pizza and loaded nachos and a waffle stand. Live music at weekends. Great chilled out vibe. Due to all the rain we've had we were directed to hard standing next to the pond which was absolutely the right decision but normally you can camp in the orchard, down by the river, pretty much where you like. One of the best weekends we've had in a while. We will definitely be back!

Disliked: Showers could be better but this was a very minor point!

Liked: Fishing and walking around Saturday was nice. The atmosphere in the bar was good.

Disliked: Have put 3 * as we went with my 3 sons for a fishing weekend and Sunday we couldn't fish on the pool due to a match fish. So had 3 very disappointed lads. There was no sign or anything to say thus was on. We weren't the only people who was disappointed and annoyed.

Liked: Great site, so much space! Easy check in, bar was nice, pizza great really enjoyed our stay

Disliked: Toilets not the cleanest, maybe some cleaning products could be left to use, the "dunny" toilets were Especially grim, I would return for a night still.

Liked: Good that we could pitch up anywhere. Lots of toilets and washing up stations dotted around. Tap house very good with reasonable prices.

Disliked: A large dog was on a pitch on the field, need it’s owner to keep it calm each time we walked past and watched us until we were out of site. Put us off exploring too much especially with young children.

Teme-side non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Lovely setting, we arrived and was given the option to pitch up wherever we liked so we did - in a lovely quiet spot amongst the apple trees. There was a small hut nearby containing the outside toilet and a sink behind for your washing up needs, all we needed - perfect! It was a lovely stay and even though it hadn't got electric hook ups, it meant we could enjoy the precious family time. Together instead (no electric would have usually turned us away, but reading description and the reviews made us want to stay!) Was also really lovely to see when we arrived on my birthday that it was. Sunny Saturday evening with a singer on for entertainment and wood fire pizzas and very cheap drinks for all to be had - delicious i must add really made the place welcome, all noise was then calmed down in time for bed. The option to enjoy an campfire was very appealing too, we definitely will bw coming back for both camping and just to the place for date nights on our own too!
