General

  • Secluded dark skies site in Herefordshire; campfires allowed
  • Ross-on-Wye 10 minutes' drive; Ledbury 25 minutes
  • On the doorstep to the gorgeous Forest of Dean and Wye Valley

Ryeford Ponds Glamping is a small-scale glamping and camping site in Herefordshire. Set over six acres of green countryside, this site has meadows, ponds and woodlands to explore and is family-owned.

Set 10 minutes' drive from the attractive market town of Ross-on-Wye, Ryeford Ponds Glamping is an off-grid site where you can enjoy dark skies at night, no crowds and the possibility of lighting a campfire and gathering together as a group under the stars. You're encouraged to put your feet up here, with hammocks available and plenty of secluded spots for an afternoon snooze. Listen to the buzzards above you, spot a woodpecker, or perhaps catch a glimpse of the Canada geese coming in to land on one of the ponds.

The pitches here are spread out for privacy, but close enough that if you're camping as part of a group, you'll only be a short distance from your friends or family.

Private and clean toilet and shower facilities will surely make your stay comfortable; other amenities include an outdoor summer kitchen, washing-up area and rope swings/natural games for the kids.

Picturesque campsite set amongst nature, our pitch was alongside a pond and we were able to have privacy as well as in earshot of facilities such as toilet, washing up and shower. The site owners were only a call away and kids enjoyed themselves. Would return here in future. Many thanks to site owners for their hospitality and kindness.

Beautiful spot to stay in a tent with our baby. Loads of space and great facilities. Aldona, the owner, is very friendly and on hand to answer any questions, plus she ensures limited bookings to protect the private and secluded environment. Great find!
