  • Peaceful waterside touring site at Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire
  • Symonds Yat 15 minutes’ drive and Tintern Abbey 35 minutes
  • Dog-friendly grass pitches with electric hook-ups; two lakes on site
A stay at Herefordshire’s peaceful and oh-so-prettily landscaped Broadmeadow Caravan Park puts you in pole position for explorations of the neighbouring counties of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Monmouthshire – on both sides of the English-Welsh border. Tucked into a quiet lakeside corner of the lively market town of Ross-on-Wye, the touring site has spacious and level grass pitches equipped with electric hook-ups. Handily positioned water taps and waste-disposal points ensure convenience throughout your stay, along with two well-appointed toilet and shower blocks with wheelchair-accessible and family facilities. Please note that during quieter periods, one block may be closed. You can stroll the extensive grounds around the two on-site lakes, and anyone with an interest in fishing may well take up lakeside residence free of charge for the duration of their stay. Sporting facilities in Ross include an indoor swimming pool and gym (good rainy-day ideas), a putting green and tennis courts. Within a radius of about 20 minutes’ drive, you can also play golf, go pony trekking, canoeing, fishing, cycling or mountain biking, see a film, have a flutter on the horses and take river cruises along the Wye.

What customers say

Broadmeadows is praised for its immaculately clean and well-maintained facilities, including showers and toilets. Visitors highlight the spacious, level pitches and the peaceful, serene setting with pleasant pond areas perfect for dog walking. Its prime location is frequently mentioned, offering easy walking distance to Ross-on-Wye's shops, cafes, and amenities, as well as nearby supermarkets. Staff are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming. While the entrance through an industrial estate is noted by some as less scenic, the campsite itself is considered a highly recommended and relaxing destination, with many expressing a desire to return.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Easy to find and great location. It had a rural feel but was within walking distance of all local amenities.
The shower blocks and toilets were clean and the washing up room had plenty of wash stations to use.
There is a convenient dog walk next to the site.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Really lovely setting, the addition of the field with the pond was great and felt very serene. Overall the campsite was tidy, clean and picturesque. Toilet and shower facilities were great - one of the best i've seen! Can walk through into Ross-on-Wye and also close to other attractions such as Athur's Cave, Symonds Yat etc.

Disliked The industrial estate was the only downside but you feel like you've been transported into a different place once you step through the campsite's barriers!

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Large site with spacious pitches. You are taken to your pitch by a man in a golfbuggy...personal touch. Showers/toilets are clean. Easy walk into Ross-on-Wye, where there are lots of nice shops and cafes etc. Morrisons nearby for supplies.
We had a grass pitch with EHU....they asked us to use a breathable groundsheet.. we used one but our driveaway awning had a sown in groundsheet so it did make the grass go yellow...sorry.

Disliked Entrance through an industrial estate could be off putting, but not an issue. No Wi-Fi.

Peaceful Site which is close to a supermarket- Morrisons, just a 5 minute walk. Also has a cafe and petrol station. 10 minute walk into town.
Lovely lake and you can buy duck food to feed the ducks from reception!

Disliked If in the pitches near the road, then the road noise would be quite loud.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Het hondenuitlaatbeld was super.
